Wonder where they got that design from, I don't think I've ever seen it before.

It’s amazing that people just can’t admit something looks good. It’s always gotta be a β€œwell look at that, another copy of (insert model here)”. I’m pretty sure the design market on head shapes is close to being maxed out and different tech/materials are the only difference we will see. With that being said, I’m not saying PXG is innovative with tech or anything, just stating that I think this looks good, regardless of what it is a β€œcopy” of. Can’t we just appreciate a good looking putter, or any club for that matter? I do think PXG makes quality stuff but so do a lot of manufacturers. Just like Scotty copying Ping with the Anser styles. Yeah, we get it, they look similar, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t look good!

+1. Well said. This needed to be said for a long time. Every single time a manufacturer comes out with a new model there’s 10 people complaining it looks like a model that’s been done before. Get over it.

Thwy make great looking stuff, but nothing wrong with saying that they’ve done more than their fair share of sampling

Oh I agree with you. It’s just getting ridiculous with people crying about PXG or any other manufacturer for that matter, copying a previous model. Every manufacturer copies at some point, no matter what the industry is. I just think people make way too big of a deal about it. End of rant I supppose ??

Putter designs are getting maxed out it seems, that is, until someone (TM in this case) came out with the spider. Everyone seemed to agree that it was a pretty original design. I think this gets the comments because, this is the first real copy of the last real new design.

Β

I have no preference for either brand, or any brand for that matter. That said, you can't fault people for taking their first look at their new putter and immediately thinking "wow, neat take on TM spider"! First thing that popped into my head .

Hopefully this will help him make more putts. It would be nice to see him win some more. He just spends too much time perfecting what he is already good at, ball striking.

It's amazing that people just can't admit something looks good. It's always gotta be a "well look at that, another copy of (insert model here)". I'm pretty sure the design market on head shapes is close to being maxed out and different tech/materials are the only difference we will see. With that being said, I'm not saying PXG is innovative with tech or anything, just stating that I think this looks good, regardless of what it is a "copy" of. Can't we just appreciate a good looking putter, or any club for that matter? I do think PXG makes quality stuff but so do a lot of manufacturers. Just like Scotty copying Ping with the Anser styles. Yeah, we get it, they look similar, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look good!

Umm, I think you are missing the irony - you know the bit where Bob Parsons of PXG is taking TM to court for copying?
