Jason Day kinda hurt again? Kostis says the drive for distance and excessive fitness is shortening careers. I have to agree, but Rory said he'd rather have a shorter career and be fit and long because he can win more often that way.

To be fair, it is a cheap muni for San Diego residents.

 

a lot of the torrey pine trees -- I think it was dozens -- had to be removed due to disease in the last couple years

Unfortunately a lot of the Torrey Pines were lost/removed during the North course remodel due to bark beetles who were infesting the trees. Both courses are in excellent shape and greens are rolling well based on yesterday's Pro-Am round.
