Yep, definitely different from the 945s and 965s. I thought I could make out "65" under the lead tape, but after taking another look, I'm not so sure.

As he seems to favour a bit of lead tape slightly towards the heel, I can't imagine the 965s would appeal to him, as they have the thickest part of the muscle over towards the toe.

 

 

What a mix of equipment, though. Callaway driver and 56* wedge (PM grind?), Taylormade 3w and 3i, Honma utility, Srixon irons and 2 Cleveland wedges, and a Titleist/Scotty putter. Impressive stuff.

The lower muscle shape is certainly similar, but the 925s had a couple of grooves on the back of the lower muscle.

There's a couple of photos in this listing that shows the back of the 925s and 725s.

I've never seen lead tape on the back of the hosel but it makes as much sense as a lead tip weight.

I think the driver he broke when he bashed it on the ground in...err, 2015?...was a Srixon driver. I think it was the ZR, which was a fairly old model even then. He doesn't seem bothered by playing the latest and greatest woods.

This has the ZR driver in it, so it must have been after that when he broke it. You can also see "z945" on his irons, and they look identical to the irons in his bag now. So I'm guessing custom grind z945s, wherein the back muscles pad has been rounded off.

Really cool bag. Didn't know he played that Great Big Bertha Driver, ....just fit a friend of mine for a new shaft in his and I hit it once and now I'm searching for one haha! Great muddled sound and smooth feel, it was only one swing but thats why we're on this site..

I think you’re right. That or his contract was running out in the near future. Be a bit of a bidding war for him as the best golfer from Asia.

The description calls these irons a "645", whatever that is. These have a muscle pad that is completely different from the 945/65 and it doesn't have the V-sole that the 945/65 has. It has to be a prototype or a custom build for him. It's obvious that they wanted it coming off looking as much like the 965 as possible though. Looks more like an MP-5 than anything from Srixon.

What version is that Callaway wedge? Couldn't make out if there was any type behind the lead tape.
