Sharkie I looked at the Mesa bcf and they didnt have anything there yet, are you still in AZ? Did they have 11.5?

Back in SoCal now. I went road trippin Texas, New Mexico, AZ and back home. The BCF I went to was off Pima? I believe near the Indian casino. I don't recall seeing any other size there, those were the only golf shoes there.

sounds like the one off the 101 and indian bend, near top golf right?

I go to Burlington here in DFW (grapevine Mills Mall)quite often to look for golf shoes. Only pair in the store and it's size 11. I wear 10.5 and these were little big on me plus didn't wanna pay $40.

However I moved it to size 14 section all the way bottom left if someone lives in the area and wants them.

Hah, I was just there today but must've been after you or I would've got my hopes up thinking those might be a 13.

Not a golf shoe, but I got my girl some Infrared 90 premiums for $30.

A lot of people investing a lot of time, effort, and fuel looking for theses shoes.

it's like a treasure hunt!

I did on the first go around. but the pnw was dry of pretty much any shoes. a couple members here hooked me up thankfully. I'm stocked with a few of them so this time I'm not hunting...i'll stop by if I'm passing by and have some time but not more stalking looking for the shoes.

Last year was the first year that I knew of this. I went pretty crazy and must have went to every Burlington within 100 miles of me. I would only go when I was in the area never went out of my way. I am pretty well stocked, but will definitely be hunting once they start hitting the shelves in the next few months.

I don't know if this is happening elsewhere but, after failing to find any gold shoes at my local BCF towards the end of last year, I spoke with the store manager about when might be the best time to check for stock. She told me that they had been getting calls from somebody who would call them the day that the truck usually came in (Tuesdays for my store) and would tell them to put the shoes aside rather than on the shelves. The "gentleman" would come in later that day and purchase the entire stock of golf shoes. She said that he flips them on eBay and that he was doing the same with the inventory at several stores in the region. I told her that I understood that the goal for BCF is to sell all of the inventory but, if they were going to continue to allow it to play out like that, I wouldn't be coming back to the store and buying all the other crap that seemed to find its way into my basket each time I came to the store to look for golf shoes.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the same thing was happening in other parts of the country.

I wonder if corporate knows or would care that this is happening...

I ran into this guy in Jacksonville BCF last year. He let me get a white pair of LC2s off is pallet so I guess that was nice of him. But yeah, sucks when you just want to grab a pair or twin in your size and someone is eating up the whole deal for a flip.

I suspect $ changes hands in the receiving area as I called before I went to confirm they got a shipment. Went, none on the floor, but a guy wheeling a flatbed out of the storeroom. ?

There is a bulk buyer in every area. Unfortunately the store managers are more interested in moving bulk from their stores than someone who is buying a few shirts etc every couple weeks when they come in. I actually asked about the corporate opinion on bulk buyers and was told it breaks no rules. The only way corporate would look down on it is if an employee was doing it. In case anyone is interested employees do get first choice of the stock.

What you are saying makes sense. However, if they have 100 pairs of shoes, they have the potential to have 100 satisfied customers who could potentially be repeat customers, like myself, from shoe hunting. Alternatively, they could have 1 customer that pays for 100 shoes at retail price, then 99 other customers that come in, never find the shoe deals, get frustrated with “the storeroom process” and do not become long term customers.

The guy that cleans out the shoes at a BCF hours away from his house is not a long term repeat customer, at that store, until the next shoe deal comes around.

I understand why bcf likes the bulk buyers but man it sucks for common folk

Luckily I have about 8 BCF within 30 miles of me and I know of about 2-3 stores that I was the only one actually hunting for the golf shoes atleast last year I was. I would recommend going to the BCF in the worst neighborhood you can find lol it sounds stupid but that's where I have had my best luck....
