Interesting bag. Appears to be a TM staffer (by the bag) but lots of Callaway clubs in play too. And not old Callaway clubs he hasn't switched from yet, many brand new Callaway's as well.

As of his win in Dubai a few weeks back, I know for certain he had no deal whatsoever with TaylorMade. Just happens to love the equipment, so he's playing a lot of it and carrying the bag for free.

Yes, he won in Dubai with the same bag. You can think that he's getting paid by TaylorMade, but you'd be wrong. TM is not compensating him. If they had a deal, TM would have posted about his win. He does have a deal with Bettinardi, however.

 

This is accurate as of the Dubai win, but I have to believe that had he signed anything in the last couple of weeks, we'd have seen an announcement. That leads me to believe it's still the same.

Agreed. I was surprised that Taylormade had no publicity of his win in Dubai, even in China. So I guess there has been no deal between Li and TM.

Yup. Nice putter. I remember it was a big deal when Nike signed him since he’s from China a few years back.

 

I wonder why they didn’t resign him to a new clothing and apparel deal? Maybe Adidas paid him more?
