Golf Inventory

So my wife is doing spring cleaning early. And this means getting into the closets.

 

Just found out I don't need any golf balls anytime soon - found several dozen I had forgotten I had. Found a few clubs and training aids also.

 

She was cleaning. I was messing around and playing with my newly found golf stuff.

 

I am beginning to think I am going to need to come up with some sort of an inventory system. : )

 

Anyone else about to do some spring cleaning? No telling what golf wonders you will find.

Well, I don't have a golf inventory (Got my 13 clubs only), but I am working on a project with my clubs. Paintfill and some home made carving to be involved. Will have this setup and bag for a while likely, so might as well customize it.

Would imagine that some of the members here have some serious jewels hidden away all forgotten and such. Sort of like golf "barn finds".

I have stuff in the basement, in the bedroom, in the walk in closet, in the garage, soon I'll have stuff in the back of the Jeep - I keep lots of stuff everywhere and in pretty much plain sight so I'm not usually finding stuff I forgot I had. But it's all part of the strategy, with so much stuff everywhere, new stuff just kind of blends right in! She is so lucky she has me!

Okay, so searched a bit and this was the closest thing I could find. Given the lockdowns and being cooped at home the last year, I had embarked on a project to inventory all/most 😅 of the clubs in my stash.

 

Like one of the previous posters said, I had the same success keeping stuff everywhere and in plain sight, just the sheer quantity started getting a bit much. So, I end up creating a spreadsheet to keep track of everything in hand. (OCD, a little probably) 🤓

 

Anyway, I came up with an abridged version shown here. Just wondering if anyone else might have done something similar? Ha ha, or maybe OCD a lot...

 

FYI, the complete file is a bit (3x-4x) longer 😉 and has a column to the right of the serial number to note customization, shaft tipping, hot melt, etc.

Ha! That's always been my strategy. I take it one further sometimes.

My wife and I have been house shopping recently. With all the excitement, I'm terrified of having to declutter my garage if we end up moving. Between the clubs and clubmaking gear, there's no way I'd get away with moving everything into a new, clean garage. Wish me luck.

Just get a house with an extra room for your golf stuff.  Problem solved.😁
