what am I loosing

I just purchased a new old stock Inovex RLS 4 wood head off of EBay. Since this head probably at least 15 years old, my question is how much performance will I loose in comparison to newer fairway woods? Other than it being slightly smaller, it has a Carpenter Steel face, which is still being used today.

Just make sure the epoxy is nice and dry. Shouldn't be loose at all.

IMO if you find a FW you get along well with, that’s all that matters. I typically play older woods because you can get them at great deals and they still work like they always did.

That being said I recently picked up a X2hot pro, not the newest tech but much newer that my VSteels. The thing is an absolute cannon, but once the novelty of that wears off, I’m back to wanting predictability from my 3w....play whatever you hit well consistently...that will outweigh anything you may lose tech wise.

if you can hit it solid then not a whole lot

you might even hit it better than a newer model of wood if it happens to inspires confidence

It is a smaller head...but if you hit it correctly it will still keep up with today's FWs out there. V-Steels are still talked about here and they're at least 15 years old and they're in my bag and in the bags of other members here so it tells you something.
