Not enough to be worth the hassle to track down a shipping box and deal with that mess. That and I'm not trying to skirt the WRX rules with posting in classifieds.

 

I have it listed for 20 bucks on the ole craigslist, which IMO is a pretty darn good deal. But this town sucks for golf.

I actually dumpstered a few the other day. First time ever. A couple old Ping demo irons and an old Founders Club 2 iron. Along with a bundle of mold steel shafts. There might have even been a Perfect Club in there!

 

We don't have a First Tee program anywhere close, and I've tried to donate to our high school teams (not these type clubs, newer ones, and bags also) by talking to the pros and coaches, but it doesn't seem to garner any interest at all.

 

Most of the stuff that had any value, or was somewhat modern I traded in to RBG. Not having to pay any shipping makes a big difference in the bottom line. Stuff that wasn't on their trade in list I gave to my club guy who also has a retail shop. He does a lot of work for me for no charge, so if he make something it's a good deal for him.

 

Now if could just get rid of the excess shoes.

If you asked me 2 weeks ago, I would’ve said box em up and send to 2nd swing, but my wife’s aunt and uncle are coming to visit.

 

My answer now is to keep a set for visiting guests. But, you for sure should have multiple putter, wood and driver options on hand always to pick from....

I still use older clubs! But ive donoted a few over the years to 2nd hand shops and my clubs junior section

My son is an infrequent golfer and he gets some of my hand-me downs-usually first dibs if he wants them.

 

I trade some in.

 

I have a few that I may donate to a local school.

Speaking of the excess shoes....I recently threw 5 pairs in the trash. 2 of them had a spike that busted off inside the thread. Never got around to fixing them. Decided to chuck em after they sat in the garage for 2 years. Also pitched a few sneaker type that were low on tread but not totally wore out yet.

 

Around Christmas I got one pair of waterproof type spiked and another sneaker type for dry summer weather.

I love this idea propman. Like a swap shop, or swap meet or some such. Each party pays their own shipping and folks get to try something new (or old) or some club they are feeling nostalgic about having owned back in the day.

I hang on to my older stuff since I wouldn’t get much for them anyway and give the others to my son or my dad.

My older irons I usually donate them to family or friends getting into the game.

 

Drivers are a different story. I keep my good combos even though I probably wont ise tyem much. OG hibore/JLG ultraboom, 455DB / PL red, Prop 440 /Accra, Biocell/ red tie. SMT spectrum/ Pershing. The only one I regret getter ng rid of is my Alpha C830/Accra.

I literally had to put a set of muirfields, cobras, hogan apex 72, hogan apex pc in my front yard since no one would take them. I even offered some of tyem here if the taker covered shipping....nata

 

Edit: moved to cali and had about 18 sets of irons and five full bags in my garage so i guess i see why i had to dump some of it
