Best Adjustable Driver?

DriveOn

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Looking for recommendations on recent Drivers that have the best adjustability. I would like to be able to play around with settings/weight.

My present driver (Cobra BioCell+ w/ Matrix Red Tie) feels too light and have a hard time feeling the head through impact.

I know a fitting would be my best option but it's not in the cards right now.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

The Mizuno JPX-900 driver has a lot of adjustability. I use one as my backup driver. Took me a couple of range sessions to get it dialed in. Also, the head feels good through impact.

This is definitely on my radar. I like that it is 440cc head. Any comments on the shaft? I see it with the Speeder 569 or 661 Evolution most of the time.

Fuji Evo II’s are quality shafts that fit a lot of golfer’s swings. Search the forum as there are a lot of info on them.

Thanks for the reply. How would you compare the JPX900 vs. the TaylorMade M1?

Echo the poster on the great big bertha alpha from a couple years back.

Loft, lie adjustment through the “surefit” adapter. Then either the sliding weight or in the DBD the gravity core with multiple weight settings. Lots to play with there.

For what it's worth, I just sold my F7 and went with the JPX-900 with the real, deal stock Fuji Evo. Tons of adjustment and a great head and shaft combination. I have my old favorite shaft ordered to give it a run (Grafalloy White/Blue...low/mid launch, stiff tip and a bomber). It's also on sale at GW for $29.99!!

Thanks for the feedback. Which Evo ll shaft did you get with the JPX-900? I see it paired with the 569, 661 or 757.

Thanks. I looked at the GW for the shaft you mentioned but it looks like it only comes in a regular flex.

For what it's worth, I have a swing speed around 100 and normally play a stiff in my driver. However, when I last played the White/Blue, I had it in a regular...it is very stout.

F7 and buy a few extra weights off Amazon (the ones for the Ping G30 fit) for $15. Then you have 3 weight spots and loft to adjust and tweak. I added weight and love the feel of the F7 now (12g front, 8g back, 2g draw) at 10.5

I found some extra weights for as little as $2 on eBay.

Ebay would work too - I just prefer Amazon :dntknw:
