I used the DI for the past 2 years but switched to the BB about 6 months ago just towards the end of the season.

From Trackman data at my fitting I spun the regular 6 iron at about 5000 rpms and with the LZ I got about 5400. Launch angle was up about a degree. Besides this there is a much smoother feel with a more substantial kick (hardly any) compared to the normal X's. Based on what I was seeing these will get me the height I wanted in the long irons with more spin in the shorter for more control.

To be honest with you I have no idea about rarity's of Byron putters. I saw this for sale and liked the look of it so just got it. I have a lot better understanding of circle t Scottys but no idea when it comes to other companies like Byron.

First time dealing with Cru golf to get some head covers. They turned out amazing and match the bag great. Only downfall is that these took 3 months to make however I was reimbursed with a leather coaster set. Besides this communication was great and I'm excited to get on the course. Thanks Cru!

End of Season Update

 

Driver- Ping G400 10 degree / Tensei Orange 70TX

 

3 Wood- G400 14.5 Digitally lofted to 15.0 / Atmos Blue 8X tipped 1/2 inch

 

2 Iron- Titleist TMB 2 Iron bent 1 degree weak / Dynamic Gold 120 X100

 

4 iron/ 5-PW-TMB 4 Iron and AP2 5-PW with Project X LZ 6.0

 

Wedges- Vokey SM7's 50.08F, 54.10S bent to 55, 60.08M

 

Putter- Scotty Cameron Newport 2

 

​Bag- Switched from Titleist back to Ping Hoofer Lite in all black. The Titleist bag lacked pockets and shoulder straps were uncomfortable compared to Ping. In addition to this I got a Clic Gear as I have been walking more.

 

Looking Forward- Going into 2019 the driver is set with the G400. This is the best I have driven the ball in years with higher launch, less spin, and greater accuracy. Looking back on it I could have got a digitally lofted head down to 7.5 or 8 degrees and launch it plenty high with this shaft. My 3 wood head is great but I am thinking about going lighter but stiffer in the shaft. I can't put an easy swing on the ball with this shaft and expect it to get up but when I swing harder dispersion can suffer to the left. The 2 Iron is great off the tee however does not serve much use when hitting into greens. I might try a hybrid to fill this gap. Irons for the next year I am thinking a combo set of the X-Forged and Apex MB's. I would like to get a slightly stiffer shaft that doesn't spin as much as the LZ's while sticking to the same weight range. The wedges will always be Vokeys for me however I'm gonna move to a 50.12 and 54.14 bent to 55 to get some more bounce in these clubs. Either 60.12D or experiment with a PM grind 60 for the lob wedge then. Lastly for putter I am thinking of trying one of the Toulon models but will wait closer to Spring to see new models.
