KKDC TX is a tour only model. I don't think there is an offical retail price on them. But $400 was the retail price on the DC XT.

Tour Models being white and black TX and the retail XTs are white and silver with the rainbow Kuro kage.

Tour Models are made from better more exotic materials as Toll as previously pointed out. So the price might truly exceed $400 for them at some places. I got mine for $250.

I was under the impression that there is no "retail" version of the KK with a TX flex? I have a KK XT 70 TX and the KK has the rainbow coloring. Is this a retail shaft? Or a true tour issue XT? Thanks....

You have a standard XT and not a dual core TX which doesn’t have a retail offering.

Appreciate that. Regarding the DC TX....how sensitive is it to tipping? I have always tipped my shafts 1" but I hear the DC TX is more responsive to tipping. SS is typically 117/118, not a smooth swinger, AOA is usually level. Played the CK White tipped 1" and Atmos Black tipped 1" and all was well. Should I tip trim the DC TX I am about to purchase less? Or the same? I realize I can start less and build long in case I need to tip further later....but curious to hear recommendations/experiences.....

MCA’s US Press Release

http://www.mca-golf....0118 vFINAL.pdf

From the release:

“Lower torque, launch and spin than the XT” with 1.5 times LONGER Dual Core TiNi wire in the outer piles for increased feel and performance”.

Wow. The XT has 13 inches of wire up the tip. This one must have about 20 inches in the dual core layout. Sounds exciting.

Oh boy. I predict a winner... An improved DCXT.... I’m not sure if they can do that......Time to Replenish the PayPal account.

I hope so. The proof is in the data, and that starts next Wednesday. We are going to do a direct comparison with DCXT and log player feel and opinions as well.

Any word on this? When will you guys get the shafts in stock?

I'll be doing a full write up with analysis and data next week. We have all data collected and I think this will help a lot of people out. As to when we will have them for sale, about a week or so in hand.

If you would like to purchase through us, I can work with you on exact set up and tipping, etc. If not, I can still assist, as per company rules, refer to the following link.

Hey Toll...when will you be able to provide a write up on the XD. Currently have an XT 70 in a '16 M2 8.5 and love it. Have a pro orange 60tx a g400 lst 8.5. Love the feel of it, but was going to try the pro orange 70tx in it till my club maker asked if wanted that or the XD coming out. A comparison would be great.

Since I haven't been able to put up data on this yet I'll give the cliff notes. Similar spin rates to dual core XT. Shaft feels tighter and firmer overall. Basically it takes the feel of the original XT and couples it with the spin rates of dcxt. I would assume this will simply replace XT in the retail lineup. Good shaft. I think a lot of people will like it.

Thanks, Toll. So I could play the same flex in the XD that I'm currently playing in the XT...out of curiosity, do you know roughly how much spin difference there is between XT and XD? I don't want to hit knuckle balls either.

They are very close. Basically if you like the dcxt, each individual will have to determine if they want to switch, but yes if you would like a firmer crisper feel. The graphics are a lot better however.

I currently have the XT, not DCXT, in a ‘16 M2 and love it. Wanted to try the XD in a G409 LST or a pro orange 70tx. Thanks...love all the info you provide.

It's going to spin just a bit less than your current XT. It's essentially an evolution of that particular shaft. For guys who are already having success with XT or dcxt XD should be a winner. Pro Orange on the other hand is a very different shaft. Very low spin but mid launch with being counterbanced. Most players will swing the PO faster and gain a bit of ball speed from it. The balance, however, is a lot different than what you have.

I actually have the pro orange 60tx in the g400 Lst right now. I like it a lot. I was thinking about trying the 70 and cutting it down to play at 44.75”. I like the feeling of the slight counterbalance. I hated the chrome shafts. Those felt weird to me. Can you butt cut a counterbalance shaft and maintain swing weight?

How much less (or more) does the Kuro Kage Dual Core XT version spin compared to the Tensei Orange V3? The V3 allows for a more aggressive swing compared to the V2, correct?

I'm playing the DCXT in my 400 LST but might like trying a V3 if spin is similar

Thanks for the feedback - won't go out of my way now to try and replace my XT 70TX with the XD. Got me thinking about the Tensei Orange now though

I would say absolutely try the XD. It may be something you love. As a dcxt player you should very much like it. Pro Orange is also great, but coming from a traditional balance of XT, XD will be a more seemless transition.

Any pictures of the new graphics? I’m going to have to pick one up From Toll I think. Hitting the m3 440 9.5 and hazards 29-3400 rpm spin on average. 168-170 ball speed pretty consistently. For reference My favourite love is the rip alpha but hit it too high.

This is the greatest thing I've heard in a LONG time. Absolutely love the XT but it launches a little high for me and spins a bit too much. The DC XT, on the other hand had lower launch and spin but didn't FEEL as good. So, I've been in the T1100 for several months now.

If the XD FEELS like the old XT and performs like the DCXT, this could dethrone the T1100.

Thanks for the always great info, Toll.
