SetTheBarrHigh - Update on First Post

Recommended Posts

The turf interaction (on both full shots and pitches around the green) wasn't working well for me with the T7 58°. I was digging too much, despite the bounce being very similar to what I had been playing successfully before. There also weren't many grind options in the Mizuno stable and I had to look elsewhere.

With the newer MD4's coming out next year, the MD3 series has been dripping in price over the last few months. I am going to start 2018 with this MD3 and see where that takes me. I like the turf interaction and feel of it so far. However, that won't stop me from trying the SM7's when they debut.

Just curious as to how you remove the putters from your rack ?

(Without moving it ?)

Great question! Ideally, I’d have a space for it with a little more room, but for now the ones that are in held there are sentimental and don’t get much playing time. But yes, I do have to move it a little from where it currently is.

Want to sell that awesome Futura :)?

It's slightly sentimental, so I think I have to keep that one around! That one was in the bag for a few successful seasons in high school.

Loved the steelhead!!!!

I had the Steelhead III in the bag for a long time, 2003-2007 I think. So this one was a no brainer when I started looking around at 4 woods.

Thank you sir! I think I’m content with the Epic for this year and so far the Steelhead isn’t a disappointment either. Which is fortunate because it was a completely blind purchase, which is normally against my beliefs.

Great updates. Always great pics. Keep the updates coming. You certainly love that Adams driver!

I appreciate it man. I enjoy updating this thread, so I hope people enjoy seeing the updates as well.

I do love that driver! I tend to try something different at least once a year, but past experience tells me I probably need to leave it in the bag.

I almost cut down the three wood, but decided to move it instead. I tested this today on the simulator and it was about 10-12 yards short of a standard length 14.5° G400. What shaft weight do you have in yours?

in true WRX fashion, I sold my current set of irons before I had a replacement for them. I tested the 919 Tour, 919 Forged, & i210 this morning and walked away with the Forged. They should be here in a couple of weeks. I also picked up a 4 wood since they came out today.

Love to see a complete over hall let me know how you like the irons when they come I really like the look of them only thing I've considered kicking the Nike VPC out the bag

I think they should be here next week and I'm super excited. I went in thinking I would go with a Forged/Tour combo, but left with Forged through the set. I think the biggest factor for me will be the shafts, I went with a stiffer version to help dispersion a bit. Vapor Pro Combo will be tough to beat, that was such a solid set.
