The only real difference is the dot. The 690MB came out in 2002 and the "revised" 690 . MB came out in 2005. The difference being the 2005 690 . MB is 1 degree more upright and 1/4" longer in it's standard trim. Everything else, including headshape, ball flight, metal content and feel is the same. I've actually got a set of 690. MB's along with an older 690MB 2-iron that has simply been tweaked to match the set. I've also owned the older 690MB set and can tell you that there is no real diffference in either set. Anyone who tells you otherwise is mad. :man_in_love:

what is the deal with the up date version and what is this dot deal? im looking to try them out most likely the dot i guess since is a bit newer ans other input on the 2 sets anyone.

Are you trying to compare 690cb vs 690mb, or 690mb vs. 690.mb?

You can search old posts here and other golf message boards since these models are several years old. However, since you appear to be into Titleist clubs, I suggest you go to the Titleist website, click on Golf Club Archive, and look up all the specs for yourself. http://www.titleist.com/historical_clubs/category.asp?cat=if

 

Briefly, as you were told by jaskanski, with the 690.mb and 690.cb, Titleist recognized that many werer ordering 690mb and 690cbs longer and more upright, so it made that the "standard" and added the "dot". It's up to each person to decide what specs fit the best. I still play the 690.cbs.

ya im a huge Titleist fan :) thinking to add another set just to try out. i just did not know much about these 2 sets and plus i love this forum. Plus is all ways best to hear from people that have used the equip. anyone else what to add any input maybe on how they compare to other Titleist clubs?
