Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Pants - how do they hold up?

I got to admit, that looks long and baggy. For me, I don't show any ankle, maybe a half break, and, mine seem to a bit slimmer, too, though, mine are last years model - size m (32" waist).

 

I tried on the Mediums, which according to their site have an inseam of 28.75". I still had to roll them 3x to get a decent looking length. My God, my legs are short.

I too have these in three colors - navy, black, and gray. After trying on Lulu and Bonobos, I couldn't tell a difference at all. And as everyone has said, the price is amazing. I actually was able to score the navy and black together at the local Old Navy outlet store for $30 for both! So I had no problem buying another pair in store for $27 after the discount. I've even started wearing them for work. I hope they not only keep these, but, make them in more colors too.

I got my navy pair today in the mail. Love the fit...way more tapered than my Nike or FJ slacks. I hope to get a year out of them...plan on wearing them in the golf shop and on the course. Will order the brownish and grey as soon as Old Navy does a 40% discount.

Get on Old Navy's mailing list. I just signed up. My wife has a Banana Republic CC and shops a lot with BR, GAP, Old Navy...gets e-mails alerting her to sales.

Just got mine and I'm really impressed with the fit and quality of the material. Looks like the Canadian website is sold out but I'm definitely going to buy more of these when they come back in stock.

Just got a pair delivered today thanks to this thread. Excellent fit. I’m slender so I can imagine a bigger guy finding these too slim, but they fit me perfectly. Good quality high-tech fabric with some thickness to it. Button seems like it may not last. Bonobos has a great kind of clasp button that would be ideal for these. Looking forward to trying them out on the course. Thanks, OP.

How would you guys rate the length? True to size? longer? Shorter? Just curious. And of course they ran out of my waist size for grey. :( Boo! waited to long to pull the trigger. bah!

Length is pretty true from what I normally wear in other brands (32"). I am pretty pleased overall with the fit and quality (in my opinion, I would compare the fit to be close to the Lulu ABC standard, not the ABC slim). I can tell the mesh pockets probably won't hold up to my divot tool, but for the price I cannot complain. The only other thing I thought was weird about them is the front pockets - they are almost like a 5-pocket/jean style front pocket and the chino back pockets. Very minor things to complain about for pants that are 1/4 the price of some other brands.

just ordered the olive, grey, and navy. The grey did have waist 31 anymore, so ordered waist 30, and waist 32 to see which is better. Can't have pants like this and not in grey. lol. Only one of them available in store for pick up. the rest shipped. oh well.

Some new pants popped up at TJ Maxx stores that seem promising for only $19.99. They’re English Laundry slim stretch chinos (or something like that) they’re very stretchy but not quite as light as the old navy pants. Grabbed a pair to try I’ll let you guys know

I dont think so as they are polyester / spandex. I think they would if it was cotton blend.

I am a GM for Old Navy and I like these pants but the legs are definitely on the slimmer side compared to our other khakis, almost between a slim fit and skinny. The material is nice but I prefer the performance khakis from Gap (I have 4 pairs of them.) They are a great value when we do 50% off all active product, which happens every month or so. I just wish they fit a little closer to the other slim khakis we sell which fit great.

 

so in my basket I got the GapFit Hybrid Khakis and the Dry Quick Ultimate Khakis but cant decide which one. The old Navy khaki is 4 bucks cheaper, but the Gap khakis are wind and water resistant (still under $36).

 

 

Semarlor, is the fit the same on the standard Slim Flex Ultimate Khakis as the Dry Quick ones? And are the Gap ones the same or slimmer?

 

Maybe I should just get one of each....MatriMike i'm in the same boat as you, too many pants.

I'm so glad there are other dudes that prefer these kinds of pants for everyday use as well. I was a little nervous that I'd get made fun of by my friends, but then I realized, 'I'm 39, who cares?'. Wear what's comfortable. Plus, when you visit a squat rack on a regular basis, they make your hard work stand out. The pants are worth the compliments from my wife :)

So I finally got the rest of my shipment of the old navy pants. Turns out I’m a 30 waist. Lol they fit great btw! Love the fit and I have to hem from 32 to 31 inseam. I actually got the black pair for super cheap and the navy went on sale. Returning the original and bought the new one with my old navy bucks. :) thanks again OP.

Just got two pairs orders! Thanks OP for starting the thread. I’ve wanted some Lulu ABC pants for a while but didn’t feel good dropping that sorta cash. Now got two for $59 with free shipping. I’ll post a review when I get them.

poly. vs. nylon. Some folks don't like nylon pants - too swishy, but, the Gap pants have worked out great for me. I bought enough of the Gap performance khaki's on closeout, that, I never bought any of the Old Navy pants. I am, also, a member of the too many pairs of pants club.

 

btw, I am not sure, I like the vanity sizing of Gap/Old Navy pants
