It's been 6 weeks for me right now. Went to a local store and hit a couple shots and was NOT happy with the results. Given the holiday pricing, I am not playing until next week I figure.

Most definitely. I went there for the first time to check out the range about 3 days ago and Some parts of the course looked barren as well as some parts of the grass having this weird highlighter green color. Range is great though.

It's okay I just picked it up 2 months ago from not playing in over 3 years. Let me know if you're interested.

There was a slight delay this morning (~15 minutes) and we had to start on the back nine.

The course in general was in good condition especially the greens. I didn't score particularly well, but it was mainly on the greens. I was not expecting the greens to be that quick and it was evident in the number of putts I had; it was also self inflicted because I couldn't stay below the hole if my life depended on it!

The pace of play was slower than what I would've expected that early in the morning (~4.5 hours) but we were playing behind a foursome that wanted to hole everything out since money was on the line.

The course layout is also interesting as many of the folks pointed out earlier in the week. I don't know if I'd come back all the time, but I think it's worth playing every now and then to get a different layout.

Should be free on Monday, weather and condition of my sinus dependent. It looks like next week is supposed to be a full week of rain (I'll believe it when I see it), but Monday has the best chance for being dry. I haven't looked for any times or courses yet, but I can start the hunt here once I get a better feel for the weather and the timing of weather.

Played Oak Creek yesterday and I was surprised that even after a week of rain, fairways were still pretty dead and the greens were as quick as they were! Started on the back 9 first and joined a twosome, shot 47-39 lol. I was having a lot of trouble keeping it in play off the tee on my first 9 and had back-to-back triples at one point, but eventually I settled in. I would definitely play again if I can get another ridiculous deal. I booked a golfnow tee time on Saturday night for $79, which is about on par for what the current conditions are.

Rancho, Weschester, and Penmar are about as far as I can get because I am stuck with the bus. I usually go out late in the afternoon like between 2-4 but would be open to other times if it's not too pricey.

I'm a beginner golfer, 40's, in West Torrance and can hit 175 yds with my new 4 hybrid. I have a Callaway XR 16 driver on order that should improve my game even more. I'm still more comfortable on the range than on the green but hope to change that soon with regular games. Have played with my instructor at Los Verdes (RPV) and Old Country Club (Seal Beach).
