Ordered the M3 driver on March 22nd with Tenei White stiff shaft. Shat not available till May 3rd . Called today and cancelled , bought the Rogue Sub Zero. Here in 7 to 10 days. Its a wonder how they are still in business. Throwing profits out the window.

Not all of them. Depends on the topic.

 

For example, I would say the same thing in a Tyson Lamb or Circle T thread.

 

And really, what am I wrong about? We can revisit in June/July when people are selling their custom orders and continuing the search for the best clubs.

Update on my order for p730, placed the order 3/8 with estimated ship date of 3/15 through golf shop. Never shipped out and they kept pushing out the date, finally found out 9 iron head has been backordered and been holding it back. Said they will have them first week of may. Talked them into shipping out the other irons and just waiting on the 9 iron. Normally wouldn't go through all this for an order but really wanted these

Ordered the M4 9.5 head with 65g X Evenflow blue and MC black/white grip last Tuesday (3rd April) and my pro called to say it'll be here tomorrow (12th April) so only 9 days and with their estimated 7-10 days timescale.

One new store has opened near me and they haven't had any demos in. As a result Callaway and Cobra are making an absolute killing at TM's expense. One thing the new owners will need to sort out. It's one thing to reduce their Tour Staff roster and minimise the number of losses by flooding stores but not being able to supply the demand is mega damaging and not sustainable.

I order a custom set of P770 with custom loft lie and length as well as custom shafts. I had mine in 10 days. I went they Discount Dans and it was smooth and easy. I use the the TM site for specs but order from Dans it it was perfect. I placed my order in February. I have a Spider Tour putter on order with a custom lie request we’ll see how fast I get it

Not just TM. I decided to go Rogue SZ for a three wood with HZRD yellow stiff shaft. Dallas Golf has a great staff and they said it would be 3 to 5 days. After a few days they have updated that to 1 to 2 weeks.

...i can't even get them for demos for our local PGATSS. it's not just wrxers buying those wedges -- i had 8 guys come up to me saturday asking about them, where to buy them, regardless of being able to hit them or not.

Sounds like a new accountancy company....not used to faster moving markets. UK back orders are about a month on 790 irons. Plenty of demo woods kicking about but very few shafts to try. Callaway on the other hand are getting stuff to market ahead of promised dates. New XR woods hit our local stores yesterday.

Just in time inventory is the new norm. Big companies hire consultants and they get all kinds of "good" advice. Just in time inventory is at the the top of the list for supply companies.

 

I worked in the oil business. When we were a family owned business we had a 99% fill rate on all orders. The only time we missed was a manufacturer delay. We were bought out by a private equity firm and merged with many other companies. In come the consultants. First order of business is just in time inventory. Our fill rate dropped to 92%. Lost customers and our satisfaction rate dropped off a cliff. Next order of business was to get rid of sales people and have office staff make phone calls.

 

Our company did the same thing TM is doing. Quote faster delivery times then they can accommodate. We we're told to tell our customers 3 days on all orders. Some took two weeks or more.

 

The new norm of business. Hopefully things swing the other way.
