Wanted to see if anyone wanted to meet up in Chicago this summer when I'm home and play at a course? I think this is formally done in the other section, but I really like the Chicago posters in here and wanted to see who is interested? I'll probably be home largely the month of July. So anywhere is good for me in the Chicago area. Or if this already happens and you guys set something up already please let me know when and where, love to meet new guys.

I'm always interested, but I can't commit to anything in the summer this far out. Kids, vacations and other commitments make the summer a mess. I think the last even was on a weekday and that's usually a no go for me.

I remember back 15-20 years ago, we had a Chicago-based outing from another forum. Ended up with about 4-5 foursomes playing Shepherd's Crook. Great time, great company. I see a few screen names from that forum on here.

Great seems like we may have a couple foursomes, which is all i would want anyway. I'm not trying to further complicate this. Sometime in mid to end of July. I'll be in the Joliet area as that is where my family lives. Mistwood is fine as I haven't played it since the overhaul a couple years ago.

Hey Chicagoland golfers! I say Mistwood sounds like a plan. I'll be in the area off and on from July 10-29.

 

I haven't checked with Mistwood about any deals yet, but during the week I think it is $75-85 bucks and weekend 100-110. So I vote for weekday afternoon as I'm available for I'm on VACATION! :beach:

 

So I'll check with Mistwood about some rates for 8-12 golfers and we can figure it out from there.

Well Mistwood isn't going to give any deal with 8-12 golfers. Not the easiest to deal with as I have gotten 1 response to 3 emails. I'm sure they have things to deal with, however it is what it is. Thus I think it is 75 during the week and 100 on the weekend. Still targeting July/August. Will be doing a weekday myself so i'll keep guys appraised of the date.

any desire to come up to O'Hare area and play The Preserve at Oak Meadows?

 

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's definitely worth a play and it would be a good way to get some people out there who haven't played it yet, or for me, who selfishly is looking for reasons to play it.

It looks like at least initially, The Preserve has lowered the price point to $69 which includes the cart. It could be early season pricing though.

save $20 by not taking a cart (lose GPS, but not everyone uses it).
