Garmin makes a few that are worth looking at.

On the cheap you could pair a Magellan Echo with the GolfPad app... it's not exactly a svelt watch, but they sell on eBay for $15-$30 and offer a lot of functionality for the money and a coin battery lasts for around 6 months. The same is true of anything running Android Wear as well. I picked up the Echo for $15 to replace my lost LG Watch. Replaced it with a Pebble Time Round because it's much thinner/lighter, but will probably go back to the Echo when the Pebble stops working in July.

Garmin VIivoactive, like everyone else said. The also make a version with a heart rate monitor.

I would also recommend looking at Gamin. For Golf + fitness basics you've got:

s20 (no HR monitor),

x40 (w/ HR montitor),

 

Then there are others that are more advanced/expensive that could handle both golf and fitness along with some extras: - like the s60, fenix, vivoactive, etc...

If you want to get a Fitbit, the Versa is way better than the Ionic IMO.

I was looking for a good running watch/activity tracker with golf gps and the Garmin Vivoactive 3 hits the sweet spot pretty well.

My Vivoactive works great for golf and is great with running, biking etc as well. Best do it all for the money.

 

Tried the Fitbit Versa for a few days but no built in GPS and no golf aps supported at this time anyway.

Any of the garmin will do steps, watch and gps for golf. They will run from 100 dollara to 700 dollars

Looking for a watch to replace my Shotscope, as I don't use the shot tracker that much. But also one that will sync with Strava. Garmin vivoactive 3 looks to fit the bill unless I'm wrong?

I don't do anything with Strava but I have been very happy with my vivoactive 3 for golf. It is not as feature rich as the dedicated Garmin golf watches but does all the basics very well. Like that I can look down and see how long my last shot was as well. Really helps me keep track of how far I am hitting my clubs.

I use the Garmin X40. I only use the heart rate feature for recovery and resting. I do not use it while cycling. I have a dedicated HR monitor for that. It has golf gps, steps, calories, notifications from cellphone, and apps for golf and monitoring history.
