My typical driver swing speed ranges between 113 mph-116 mph. I have recorded as high as 121.4 mph. Those swing speeds - and 300 yard drives - are nothing extraordinary. There are plenty who can do that. And there are plenty who can’t or don’t swing that fast, but would beat me on the course every day of the week. All that matters is that last cumulative number on the card.

Ok. I think the only way to kill this thread is to get a geo-stamped pic of everyone's weiners holding a USA today w a current date and a ruler.

Proof of life. Proof of length. U want to measure dicks, then go ahead and measure. But cut out the foreplay.

No! This is the only place on the internet where I DON'T have to look at d***s and I'd like to keep it that way.

Bingo. However, these days everything seems to be about distance. Heck, even irons are about distance...and I always saw them as scoring clubs. I am waiting for an OEM to come out with a putter that promises 17 more feet of roll. :-)

ps: nice user name. :hi:

I played with two WRXers last Saturday. We had a par 5 where two of us had drives over 410 with favorable conditions. The comment was "only with WRXers can you hit a 400 yard drive and get outdrive by 25 yards."

Yea, I've seen that when I lived in the Boulder area. Of course I was barely getting it out past 300. :)

I joined GolfWRX for the sole purpose of adding 50 more yards to my drives. Yelling "BOOM" every time I hit my tee shot helps those yardage gains, also.

I think the wind got my ball more than the other dude. Also i hurt my back a few weeks ago and am dealing with leg numbness

Nevertheless, needless to say i didn't speak to the guy the rest of the round, and every time i hit it past him i did a full muscle flex in a different pose

Not sure what tweaked it, but I made it worse by continuing workouts (not smart) and one set of deadlifts just put it over the edge... and now have been dealing with leg numbness for 3 Weeks or so. I limp like I have a pegleg.

Played in a scramble yesterday with a legit 300-yard bomber. We were more than 100 yards out only once on our approaches. Huge advantage.

Of course, on the front, none of us could get it within 15 feet with wedges in our hands, and then we couldn't buy a putt. Not much of an advantage to be long when you have a crappy day with wedges and putters.

And then get back to enjoying my game. :D

I hit a perfect, for once, drive over a lake right into the middle of a doglegged fairway across it and the cart GPS said it was a 263yd drive.....I dont believe it, but it was nice to see.

I've only played with one golfer who can routinely drive over 300 yards, and I don't see it that often because he usually takes a wood or iron off the tee. When I play my local course from the whites with my friends (who don't golf much) I can nearly drive the green on a hole that is 290, but not all the time (fairly often though, that hole just gives me some confidence and I feel I relax and play it well - can't keep that up though).

I'd probably put my average (good) drive to be around 275 including roll. When taking into account my inconsistency, my average drive is probably in the 240-250 range.

Only the ones that hit it far can brag about hitting it far...... You wont see me bragging about my current monster yardage of 240 off the tee anytime soon :)

240 is nothing to sneeze at. That's the number where I know I've gotten a hold of it.

I can do 200 on a bad shot low on the face, or 220 on a decent one, but 240 plus tells me I flushed it.

Number 18 at my new course is a short par 5 (490) from the whites (back was being grumpy again...). Managed to hit driver/three iron to just off the green on the right, pin high.

I then promptly stubbed my chip, and missed the birdie putt, but hey, I got there in two. I'll enjoy this while I still can... :D

My Sunday best drive carry and roll will get to 300 but most of the time I get to around 275, 280 or so with a solid strike. Plenty long enough to play good golf.
