Miura MC 501 ... any one hit it?

I haven’t hit the CB - 57’s but hit the MC 501 yesterday and ordered my set after about 10 shots

Review, beautiful at address, blade like but slightly longer topline gives the perfect extra touch of confidence.

The feedback on these is incredible, on pure hits you can literally feel the ball compress and the turf interaction is incredible.

They’re just sexy

They kind of remind me of an AP3 but I haven’t hit enough else out there

Not sure what’s up with the picture uploading, but I cannot upload anything right now. It says file is too large to upload but I’ve cleared my attachments and everything.

Anyone got a more in-depth review on these irons?

They look absolutely superb and are extremely tempting but how do the play?

Are they forgiving at all?

What sort of blade length are we looking at?

Do they favour a particular trajectory?

How do the long irons perform? Are they easy to hit?

One assumes the feel is fantastic!

I love mine so far. Granted I'm coming off shoulder surgery in Jan and have only played twice since my release. I've been playing the Srixon 545s and really liked them with C Tapers but I had some gapping issues at the bottom of the bag along with some distance control issues. This was the main reason I was looking at getting a more traditional iron. Don't get me wrong I love hitting a 7 iron 175 but it's not worth giving up the scoring in the shorter clubs when your battling flyers.

As far as forgiveness goes, I think they are more forgiving than what people will think but they are still a blade and will let you know on a poor strike.

I think the blade shape is perfect IMO. Not too knife like and not rounded at all. I like the boxy look for me and the blade is not long nor too short. With this being my first set of Miura's I cant say much on the blade length as compared to others, but they have stated they lengthened it a bit in the design.

Trajectory isn't too high at all for me, especially having them with the Modus 120 X and they feel just as good as they look.

I'll post more as I get to playing more, but for not playing in 9 months and coming off shoulder surgery these aren't disappointing me at all right now.

They sound like I imagine. Congrats on the purchase and best of luck with the rehab. Keep us posted on progress and feedback on the Miuras.

Coming from the 0311 iron:

Let me tell you what you already know. They feel delicious. If an iron could orgasm I would say the center of the club would do it. Distance is compromised for precision. You will suffer if you do not hit the center of the club correctly. Like any blade, the truth is equally present on both ends of the spectrum. The 501 is forgiving but I could only compare it to the CB 57 I use to own. Ooo.. and the 501 is gorgeous.
