This has probably been mentioned before, but since it's a discussion board, I'll add to the discussion.

The K3 feels softer to me off the putter. I struggle to feel or measure any differences on any other shots. I bought 4 doz of the 4-piece on a whim and now 4 doz of the 3-piece. That's probably 2 years worth of balls for me. On the cheap!

Played the Ksig3 today. Feels like a chrome Soft. Good distance. Nice control. Nothing super amazing but the ball works well. I would easily play this ball again and again.

Agreed.

Finally played my first round with the new K3. Have previously been playing the K4 for the past year. I play the same course regularly, so I"m quite familiar with the distances I play. SS at 105, HDCP at 3.4.

Off the driver the K3 is definitely a little shorter than the K4. Not a lot, but it was consistently 3-5yards shorter than where I'm used to. Didn't notice any unusual side spin, or any issues with the wind. Ball felt good and went pretty far. The K4 is a long ball, so the K3 being just a bit shorter isn't a big deal at all.

With long and mid irons the K3 felt really good. Ball flight was pretty high, spin was very good. NO issues flighting it into the wind. Ball held its line well.

Short irons and wedges. Seems there's some discrepancy with some about the spin of these. The K3 are definitely spinning balls. They spin more than the K4 for certain. On two occasions I had a ball dead stop in its own pitch mark. From 50 yards with a 58* wedge I was consistently able to back the ball up 3-4ft, which is more than I am normally used to with the K4.

The cover is bright and shiny, and definitely durable. I did have 2 scuffs on the cover from hard wedge shots. But after 16 holes with one ball it did still look pretty good. Better than what a K4 would look like after the same number of holes.

Overall it's a totally serviceable ball that does well. I think it seems to play similar to a Chrome Soft for me. Feels soft off the wedges and putters and spins a lot. Too much for what I'm used to.

For $1/ball, it's a no brainer for mid-low handicap players. My course is narrow so it's easy to lose a lot of balls, making these a great option.

I played 9 with them. It felt pretty much like a $20 a dozen golf ball even thought it was more like $15 a dozen for the double pack. Driver was the same if not further, and less spin with all irons. Didn’t really like it even tho I wanted too. Felt like a Q star or whatever titleist has now and overcharging for lol. Like an old NXT or supersoft

Its crazy how mix the reviews can be. Let me add to the confusion

0 Handicap; 115+MPH; typical golfwrxer previous JR/college player

I got to play 36 holes with the Ksig and K3. I live in the Bay Area California (Norcal) so 80* weather on a dry and firm course

The TLDR version: I can play both balls easily. Yardage was the same through out the bag, I can check both balls around the green with no issues. Durability goes to the K3. I think I had trajectory control the Ksig. Won't Comment on feel they both do feel different but feel is subjective. If I had to choose one, it would be the KSIG for the added control on trajectory

I got to play several different shots from Tee to Green. I could play either ball if I had them;

Off the Tee with Woods: Both balls were right around the same yardage, I would actually say the Ksig flew straighter for me, and the K3 may have had a bit more movement left/right (but that could of been user error). I didn't notice any trajectory differences

Iron shots: again yardage seems about the same. I would say the K3 has a slightly higher trajectory, but when needed I could hit them low

Wedge Play: again both balls spin no problems from chip, pitch and full shots. I was actually really surprised the k3 around the greens had some action cause initial reviews said these things had no spin. The big difference here... is I noticed on some 60-90 pitch shots the K3 would kind of "float" at a higher trajectory it would still spin but it wasn't like the Ksig where it is more of a flighted shot. I could do it with the K3 but it felt like more effort to do it.

Putting: I have an Odyssey XG putter so everything feels soft lol. they putted fine for me. I won't say much cause feel is subjective. the Ksig feels more "solid" and the K3 has a soft kind of plasticky feel? ... ya don't read into that too much lol'

I find both balls very consistent. If they could just have them readily available that would be great and would probably be my go to ball.

Pretty much my experience as well tho I’m not as high a caliber player as you. It basically felt like a Q star tour. So to me KSIG = Z Star and K3 = Q Star. Both good balls

Given that I really like the QST I'd probably like the K3. If only they were available in Canada.

... For myself and my 28yr old hard hitting son, the KS3 spins much more than the QST, a ball I really did not care for due to wedge and short game spin. I don't like the shiny traditional distance ball coating on the KS3 as it reminds me of Top Flites and Dunlops but if I had to play one in competition I would have no performance reservations. My son's favorite ball is the KS4 but he saves those for nicer courses and usually plays the KS3 on muni's, which is where we play most of our golf.

I couldn’t get the K3 to spin nearly as much as other top tier golf balls. I had a slicer buddy use the K3 and it made his slice more manageable. I didn’t really like the QST either because of feel and lack of spin like you. K3 is a fine ball. There are a lot of balls in that price point now that perform well. Impressed with the Cut 3/4 piece as well
