anyone else have a Nike Air Sport 8 way? I feel its awkward to get a good set up. it s a 1 3 3 1 set and the 6 in the middle(3 and 3) are oddly shaped.

Using 6-way divider, I had a Pinehurst caddie reorganize by bag to make one of the middle slots a putter well. It worked so well I decided to stick with it.

I use Callaway Aqua Dry with 14 way divider. Since I use it most of the time on push cart, I load driver and woods in front near the putter and wedges where driver + woods would usually go. Any other suggestions?

I actually have 2 bags that I use, so depending on which bag the setup will differ.

 

With my Sun Mountain 6 divider 3-Five Carry Bag:

Driver/Putter (Top Left), 3-Wood/Hybrid/ Alignment Sticks (Top Right)

4, 5, 6 (Mid-Left), 7, 8, 9 (Mid-Right)

PW/ 52 (Bottom Left), 56/60 (Bottom-Right)

Usually do woods, longer irons and then down, but i do often prefer to protect my newer clubs more. I have put my putter in between 2 wedges now, i know it wont last but helps a bit.

I recently got a midsize Titleist staff bag and I'm trying this configuration. So far I like it; not sure I would have thought to put the putter in the middle.

I posted about a year ago, but I'll update since I've had some bag changes...

 

Cart bag (riding and push cart) is woods/hybrid across the back, irons/wedges descending left-to-right and front-to-back, and putter in the well:

 

 

 

Stand bag (walking or maybe the range) is woods/hybrid down the left side (Wood-E bag), irons/wedges descending left-to-right and front-to-back, and putter in the well:

 

 

 

It's not pictured, but I have a staff bag that houses my backup set (mostly just display in my office) that is pretty much the same arrangement as my cart bag with the putter sharing the front/right divider with my LW.

Lot's of people do this but I'm a little different. Woods up top. Evens on middle left, ie, 4, 6, 8. Odds on middle right, ie, 5, 7, 9. Wedges and putter on the bottom.

 

The length differences between the irons makes pulling them easier. Why would anyone put 4,5,6 on one side and 7,8,9 on the other??

I set up similarly. Putter in the middle puts it closer to my wedges, and unfortunately I'm usually grabbing my 52, 58, and putter as I head to the green I just missed in reg.
