Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

I don't see the K-sig offered online could it be that this is it?

There've been times in this thread

We've been wondering how

Our beloved K-sig would survive

Speculation, but nothing for sure

They've been counted out so many times before

But 2 years in, how much more can Nassau provide?

(You think that maybe it's over)

(Only to buy the K3)

Are you gonna wait for Dave Peltz, that oracle

To send you a sleeve?

(This is it)

Make no more overrun cores

(This is it)

One last case in the corner

(This is it)

Then don't expect any more

(This is it)

(You say Palm Springs is loaded with K-sigs)

(Sittin' next to all the K3s)

For the last time in life, here's your miracle

I'm booking a flight

(This is it)

No more K-sigs where you are

(This is it)

This ball's been shown to go further

(This is it)

Than Cally and ProV1

(This is it)

You think it's over and done

(Dean Snell can't tell what the future holds...)

(This is it)

Oh oh oh oh...

Well done!

Another thought....

For the past 5 or so rounds I've played the Kirkland three piece, I really like that ball and have won quite a bit of skin and greenie loot with it.

Yesterday, I took the original 4 piece out for a spin. I like it better.

Luckily I have oodles of them in the stash!

That's all.

Played with the OG KSig today. Only got in 9 due to thunder and lightning and rain.

I had forgotten how good it is. Feels so good off woods and irons. Putter feel is just ok, but not horrible.

Can’t wait for another release, I will be buying more.

**Please ignore my previous post about being done buying KSigs. Thank you.**

Makes sense to me... Palm Desert/Springs love them some golf.

Aren't all the snow birds gone after tax day?

Hopefully the 100+ average monthly temperatures from June-September will keep the golfers away until I arrive in September...I'll just scoop up a couple boxes of both, just because, if they're still in store...I'm staying right down the road from the Costco...#HiHopes

If you're heat tolerant like I am (100+ temps here all summer), you can play some excellent cheap golf down there. Just take it easy on the booze. I almost went down at the Stadium course a few yeas ago after a healthy drink up at the Yardhouse. It was touch and go for a few holes.

Hum Yea...Good luck with all that...

Caravans of Ksig seekers have been on the road to S Fla for days now and when they reach Ksig Mecca they will promptly clean those pallets bare and immediately list them for $60/Dozen on Ebay.

Its the flipper way...

When the original KSig finally goes EOL and out of stock for the last time, I imagine for many of you it will be like the Seinfeld scene with Kramer when the Kenny Rogers' Roasters neon light goes out. "KSig? KSig? KSig!!!???"

I think the most reasonable explanation for all of this is that, for whatever reason (legal, patents, manufacturer refusal to produce more, etc.), Costco has all of the original KSig balls that were ever produced, and is doling them out a few at a time online and in select stores to keep the "hype" (such as it is) going as long as possible until ultimately the new, lesser K3 is the only Kirkland ball left. Many in this thread will claim I have no proof or facts, but then neither do they.

I have played the ball. I bought 4 dozen when they were available to non-Costco members online last year. I sold 2 dozen to defray the cost of the four, gave one sleeve to a guy at my club, and have played a few sleeves myself, with 1 dozen still left NIB. They are fine - they don't seem as durable as the Pro V1x I played last year, but the performance isn't noticeably worse. This year I've switched to the new Bridgestone Tour B X ball, which I like better than both the Pro V1X and the KSig.

Why do people think K-Sig fans don't think this ball will eventually go away?...Just like any other product, its time will come...We know it, we just don't want it to happen...When doomsday does hit, I'll take comfort in knowing I have 20 dz K-Sigs stored next to my $6,000 Costco emergency food supply kit...My only regret, the kit doesn't included chicken pot pie...

I for one dont think they are at the end of supply or in any danger of being at the end of supply...Rumors of their demise crop up every time a dump onto the market gets gobbled up and they come back stronger more often every year to purchase online.

The added bonus in 2018? The Ksig3

if thats true...produce them and sell them all the time...enough of the marketing game, having to guess when they will be online for those that really like them, the 4 piece that is...its ridiculous

You still do not understand the Costco business model and how the limited releases has only helped them.

Well I think I'm in the exception on these golf balls. Picked up "a few" when they were on sale before and tested them out this spring. I had been playing the Chrome Soft for the past two seasons. While this is a great ball for the money....For me.....The Chrome Soft beats it in every way. The Chrome Soft is longer off the tee by noticeable amount and has a ton more spin off the irons and wedges. The K-Sig wins in the durability category but that is it for me. It was a fun experiment, but it is over now.

Just wanted to share my experience.

These probably aren't overruns anymore. What Costco is most likely doing is contracting for the excess manufacturing capacity of a facility that is already making balls for someone else. So the factory has a contract to make balls for someone and when those orders are filled, they switch the lines over and start making the KSig. Once they have a large enough batch to ship over, they do, and Costco sells them. To have enough balls to meet demand they'd either have to contract with multiple facilities, or wait to put them on sale until they had a large inventory. Neither of those things are going to help with keeping the price low.

Assuming you are referring to the 3 piece Ksig? I am not the biggest fan of it. A fine ball for the money, but I do have quite a few others I'd pay more to play.

i wouldn't mind if it was the end. i have 6 dozen unopened boxes that i am not going to play unless i need to. the end means the price goes up, and it would be worth me actually putting some effort to sell them. otherwise, they may just end up in a shag bag as practice balls.

mine have resulted to practice balls as well

I haven't. There are no Costcos close to me (we belong to BJ's Wholesale Club) and it's a member-only item online. I'm pretty happy with the Tour B X with the 2 dozen for $70 deal that Bridgestone ran earlier this year. I picked up 4 dozen at that point. It's the first time in years I didn't do the Titleist buy 3 dozen get 1 free promotion.

I'm going to go so far as to say that I think this ball is severely overrated, even at its price point. Wish I didn't have a bunch still.
