Been playing the both the Q Star and Q Star Tour lately.

After going back and forth between QST, rxs, and both zstars I think I've finally settled on the QST. Think it's the beat all around ball at a reasonable price

For whatever reason just couldn't get a good feel for them.........have a dozen I'll likely never use

I'll pm you my address. Feel free to send my way :)

Cannot wrong with the KSIG or K3. If you are looking for something in a retail store then look for previous versions of Project A or Chrome Soft. Also I am not a Titleist fan but it's hard to argue against ProV1 PRACTICE balls for $29.99. Available just about everywhere, same performance just with the word PRACTICE on it. Not to be overlooked is the Maxfli USoft and USpeed.

Currently the new Bridgestones are 2 for $70.

So many options just be like the rest of us and buy a little of everything!!

Cobra F7+ - Stiff
Callaway V-Series 3 & 5 wood with Aldila Rouge Silver
Srixon 585 5-AW - Modus 105 Stiff
Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth 53 & 58 Degree
EVNROLL ER5
Srixon XV - Yellow

You can’t go wrong with the 3-piece ionomer covered Gamer when they have the BOGO sale on Thursday. Hit it on a sale day and they are under $8 per dozen.

My favorite urethane ball is the Wilson Staff FG Tour. Budget Golf had the 2014 version for $24 per dozen for a short while and then jacked the price up to $32. Still a decent price.

I've had a great time playing the Bridgestone e6 Soft and the Wilson 50 Elite. If I'm feeling fancy I might go with a Chromesoft or older B330 RXS for a round, but I find myself going back to the 50 or e6.

e6 soft is a really good choice.............don't think the price is great though

For sure. The e6 should be closer to the Supersoft in price. Still like it, though!

I tell them this often but it won't change............I could get them used but it just is in my head badly of where did they find the ball? How long was it sitting there? etc.

Cut Grey would be a leader for me if I had to pick right now.

Vice Neon Lime because I love the colour so much. Plus I always know which ball is mine when everyone else is white or yellow.

Ya, it may be a bit much for a 17 handicap (i lose about 4 balls per round) but they are so pretty and easy to putt, and soft with the wedges...

It's my driver and putter that I lose my strokes.

Recycled (not refurbished) AAAAA, AKA mint, tour balls. Can’t tell the difference from new. $1-$1.50 per ball. If you don’t mind company or golf club logos and buy something a generation or two old, closer to or less than $1. Find a reputable seller and you have top quality golf balls and cheaper penalty strokes.

8 index, I have played every ball out there.

For me, the best performers under $30 are, in order -

Prior Gen ChromeSoft

Ksig 4pc

Ksig 3pc

WS FG Tour

Prior Gen Bridgestone B330 series

Srizon Zstar

TM Project a

I did not like Snell, Cut or Vice very much - didn't have the same distance w irons that the other balls have.

I can play the surlyn balls but prefer the urethane for green side spin.

Doesn't it bother you not knowing where they found the ball and/or how long it was there before being found?

Well when I use to loose 2-4 balls a round I'd load up over the winter. First choice 2 years ago was Bridgestone e6. Now I've fallen in love with the new Ksig-3. I like it better than the Ksig, less side spin but good check-up around the greens. Better than the e6.

If your looking for a ball thats similar I'd look into a Top-Flight Gammer they're less than 15 bucks at Dicks.

I'm a 14 capper. Like the Wilson DUO, Callaway Supersoft, Bridgestone e6 and 330 rx. I have been buying AAAAA recycled balls from either Golf Balls Direct or Lost Golf Balls.

Save a bit of money and find no difference from new.

That being said, the BOGO deals at DSG on the Top Flite Gamers are impossible to beat.

For the money, no, it doesn’t bother me a bit. I’m sure there are a few balls per batch that are duds but I’m willing to accept that for the discount. I’ve sought out a few sources to confirm my economically motivated bias too....

It's a mental thing with me & one I've honestly struggled with since I went down this what ball do I want to play path 3 years ago. I can't get it out of my head of was this found in any body of water & if so how long was it sitting there before it was found.

Trying to find a way to be comfortable with it

I personally don't like recycled balls either, don't see the point when you can get new ones for cheaper when you find good deals and stock up on them. Currently playing Q Star Tour at $16/doz new.

The used balls don't perform any different from new balls, at least in my experience. I've used Srixon XVs for roughly $10/dozen and never had any problem.

The XVs fit my game much better than the Q Stars too, so I'd tend to go down that path
