Trying to bring this thread back to life after some have had the product for a year or more. Arccos is running a 20% off promo (maybe coming out with 3.0 soon?). So, I'm wondering what is everyone's take. I hate that I need a phone ON me.

 

I have Game Golf, which works pretty well, but would prefer to not have to tap, but more importantly, I hate the beep it makes. Why is the vibration not enough and we need to hear a beep? Really drives me nuts on the green.

 

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Arccos 360 / v2.0. Thanks.

My buddy was using this on his android phone and he got so fed up, he stopped using it. Coincedentally, his job got him an iphone 6S and he was able to use the app from there with no issues. Good timing i guess. I can't wait for what's in store with version 3.

3.0 not happening this year. They are releasing a "very small" device that makes it so you can leave your phone in your bag. Similar to Game Golf's new device, but smaller the email said.

 

I've used both Game Golf and Arccos. Arccos all the way. Better interface. Far better support. More frequent updates and bug fixes. Nearly monthly.

Recent reviews of the app on google play still show very poor performance. Experiences of WRX folks also continues to be poor.

there has been an update to the app for android to improve battery life. It was released last week.

 

Not tested yet as i am waiting for my cobra clubs to arrive

I have the Driver version (CobraConnect) with my F8+. I really didn’t like the phone in my front pocket, so tried to just keep it in my back pocket. It worked great. I was walking, so no need to worry about crushing my phone sitting down.

 

The main issue is the battery power usage. Didn’t last the full round.

Have arccos 360 now and got a round and 9 in with it the other day. Pretty cool system and the app is nice. Title confusing at first as it doesn’t show all your putts like game golf did when I had it. Also if you hit a penalty and have to drop, it does show distance from the last shot to where you drop it at with no way of at least trying to get it to the area where you hit it (stroke and distance via app too haha).

 

I had a couple of those and so had couple drivers and an iron or two show up as shots less than 100 yards haha

 

I also have a bushnell hybrid laser coming in so it’ll be cool to see how close they are to each other in terms of front middle back.

Caddie 2.0 now released...and best of all, it's free now. Unfortunately, the app is still under development for Android users. I wish Android was easier to develop because there are still features missing that iOS gets.

Is there any plans to be able to use this without having the phone in the pocket or using the phone battery at all? Saw game golf will release a new version next month without the need for tagging.

Arccos Caddie seems cool, especially the "plays like" distances. But, I have to play 5 rounds to unlock it? Not even an option to pay like 5 bucks to get it?

I bought the Arccos 360 on eBay and have 2 rounds in on it right now. Hasn’t missed a shot yet, and battery life isn’t too bad (iPhone 6). Having the phone in the front pocket doesn’t bother me too badly, but would rather have to not have it there, so when/if an option for it to work directly with Apple watch, that would be great. Going to try the caddie function when it unlocks. Have the new Cobra F8 woods, which came with the sensors in the grip, and put the screw in sensors on the irons/wedges/putter. I’m pretty happy with it so far, but still figuring out what I am going to do with all of this data!
