Have you found your ball for 2018? TP5 for me.

2014 Bridgestone B330-S

yes - 4 year old ball - have 6 dozen left - getting harder to find at discount prices (think i Paid about $22/dz for last batch)

Best wind ball I've found - also seems to draw/fade less than any ball I've played - good spin around greens

I switched to the TaylorMade TP5 last year - played 3 months with it - TP5 goes further with all clubs but could not control as well

Scores were higher and didn't trust it as much....

I've been playing the TP5 for the last 20 rounds or so and agree it is a really good ball with a nice combination of distance and feel. My only gripe being that the cover seems awful easy to scuff or abrade (of course could be my game...being a mid-handicapper/hacker). Went back to '18 version of the Chrome Softs and see better durability and feel...likely staying with that until I find something better.

FYI - TP5's kind of reminded me of the old ballata's the way they were so easily scuffed, etc.

I still play my best rounds with the 2016 Tour Preferred x & the 2014 B330S (Which I have stock on).....I'm trying to force the Tour B XS on me but It's spinning too much & I'm losing a lot of distance with my irons.

I totally agree, I just find the 2016 b330s to be junk & the Tour B XS isn't much better than the 2016. They both spin way too much off irons for me.

The 2014 is an entirely different ball that just flat out dominates all facets of the game.

Srixon QStar Tour

This ball. Q-Star Tour is an amazing ball at the price point.Long off the tee (longest ball I've hit) and soft and spinny as you like it around the green.

I tried E6 soft and speed, soft was decent around the green but short off the tee, the speed is great off the tee but won't spin for shhh... Tried the Chrome Soft X as well and couldn't compress it, lost 20-30 yards off the tee that wasn't made up for by iron and green feel.

Subject to change soon I'm sure, but have currently settled back in to '17 CSX Truvis. If TP5/5x came in yellow or Truvis, would likely be TP5x.

CSX is longer off driver and better in wind than most I've compared it to, and putts seem to be going in at the moment.

I’m not a very long hitter, but recently I went to golf galaxy and got on their simulator to test out the Pro V1 and the TP5.

Pitching wedge

Pro V1 average 121

TP5 average 129

TP5 felt softer. This week I plan to play an entire round with the TP5 rather than playing and comparing several balls.

One of the guys I play with has been using the MG Senior ball, supposedly longer than anything else out there. He recently received a sleeve of the TP5 (might have been the TP5X) and said he really likes it. He lost no distance compared to the MG ball and preferred the feel off all clubs and really noted the spin around the green. Obviously there is a big difference in price.

This could be my first ever year playing a non "tour" ball.

I have been trying the Taylormade project (a) recently and can not fault it.

Love this ball. Especially now that they have it in yellow. But occasionally it feels like it might be just a little shorter than some of the other balls.

Have you experienced that at all?

No difference in length for me but to be honest I have never ever really found any balls to give me any greater or even less distance than one another

played the TP5 and TP5x over the past two weeks looking for THE ball. The TP5x is the winner. I didn't find it low spin at all. It spins a lot..and enough for me. Good off the driver and a great iron ball...I was looking for a medium between the XV, and Prov1 since the line of Nike RZN blacks are no longer made. I think the TP5x is perfect. Spins more than the Prov1x for me. The TP5 is a little boring for me.

Found a TP5x today and played it the rest of the round. Great ball and loved it off the putter.

I was able to pick up 3dz TP5s off GCT for $100 shipped. Before I pulled the trigger I read as much stuff as I could and watched a bunch of different reviews and I honestly cannot find fault with this ball. TM stepped up their game with these balls and when these go on sale for next years model I’m gonna snag up as many as I can.

TP5x for me, all the golf balls out there are actually excellent! However I just felt more comfortable with the feel of the TP5x and noticeably lower spin off the tee.

I do prefer the prov1x spin around the greens however it almost feels too muted for me off the irons. I'm sure it's all in my head but the TP5x just seems like a slightly straighter golf ball.
