After narrowing my choices down to 2 after a lot of trips and hours on the simulator, Cobra Forged Tec Black and Ping G700 were the two finalists. Forged Tec Blacks had the edge in looks and feel. But in the end, the results from the G700's were too good to ignore.

Got this TEE XCG6 in excellent condition today for $54.

 

Not knowing much about the many models of TEE woods I looked it up when I got home. It is in excellent condition because it was probably refinished to a matte black. I noticed the serial number looked like it was painted over, but I can still see the numbers so that's what prompted me to research. However, they did a great job on it and it looks like it is supposed to be that color.

I have a 16.5* 4W, with a Tour AD YSQ P-95 Tour X shaft in my Australia bag, and hit possibly my greatest ever fairway wood shot with that club. Great club head.

 

I wonder what shaft came with yours...

 

AND YES, that matte black is a paint job. it solves the one issue I do have with mine, is that it's VERY GLOSSY, glassy even, very hi-tone shine and sheen off the club's crown in BRIGHT sun light... it kinda sparkles almost.

Mine came with the Matrix Ozik HD 6.1.

 

I also have a TEE CB Pro Limited and it has a very glossy head as you mentioned. I much prefer the look of the matte black.

Time for some Game Improvement Irons ! So the Mizuno MP 37 full set arrived,

DGS200 shafts, fairly new grips, and well over D2 on all clubs !! PW 9 8 7 6 5 4 3

 

Quite tidy, 7 out of 10 any day to me, very hard to photograph, here is the 8 iron,

Both the PW and 8 iron are looking good!! So great buying

I wish I had tried this combo. I got a Rogue with the stock Synergy and it was no good at all. I’ve used the Tensei blue in my last few drivers but I hit the synergy well in the sim so decided to try it. Ended up selling it and getting a g400 max with the Tensei in it and it’s a bomber but I have a feeling I would’ve loved the Rogue with the Tensei just as much!

Got a srixon u45 20° and a ping cadence tr anser 2 counter balance.

U45 was a so so deal. But the ping I got for $60 brand new.

They both feel great and will be gaming them in the morning.

I wish I had tried this combo. I got a Rogue with the stock Synergy and it was no good at all. Found a very gently used set of Mizuno MP-64's with DG 300S shafts. Minimal bag chatter or dings overall for a decent deal

 

Also picked up a vintage Cally Big Bertha Warbird 5-wood with the uniflex steel shaft.

 

Finished it off with 9 Golf Pride CP2 Pro Jumbo grips. Just finished installing them after supper, cant wait for them to cure a bit and go test these out later this week

Thanks, It's sort of a cheap experiment to add to my Fairway wood/Hybrid lineup. A few courses that I play just don't demand the 3W, so that left a bit of a gap to fill . Figured this 5-wood (18*) could be a good fit, giving me lots of potential setups. I now have a 3W (15*), 5W (18*), 3H (19*) and 4H (21* adjustable to 22.5)) that I can pick and choose from (along with the struggling 4-iron); that area of the bag has always been a struggle to make up.

 

I also prefer a deeper-faced 5W. I've tried various newer 5-woods and the lower CG's and lower profile just launched it way too high for me. It's funny though, I prefer that setup in my 3-wood (my Ping G20 is fairly shallow) but not vice-versa.

New weapons. Got a great deal for my clubs: $95 each, plus they gave me $40, $40, and $20 for my MD3 Milled SW, LW and my Jaws GW respectively. Way more than the PGA trade in value.

 

Now if only it would stop raining. I cant wait to test them out. They felt amazing on the monitor.
