My biggest concern is shaky hands. Last range finder that I used was a Bushnell 1500 which was very large so I could hold on to it. Hate to spend $$$ without testing it on the course. Not sure what to do at this point.

I'm 65 so I'm not as steady as I once was. I've had no issues picking up a target. In fact they tell you to move it back and forth across the target.

I haven't used another rangefinder so have nothing to compare it to but I don't think it's hard to hold. It might be more compact then other units but I don't know. I've played 4 rounds with mine so far and no issues. Hard to believe I played golf for so long without one.

Is this unit difficult to hold (never seen one)? I’ve never heard of so many people with their fingers in front of the lens. Is this true or is there a problem with the unit? Just seems odd.

The problem is the way people are holding it, not the unit. Just keep your fingers back and you won’t have a problem.

I think it’s just because of the size of it. My issue was that some of my hand was wrapping around the bottom front into the field of the laser. Ever since I figured that out, I haven’t had another issue.

Thanks for the question! We did design a more compact rangefinder -- that's true. It's great because it's light and easily fits in your pocket. (I put mine in my back pocket during my swing and don't notice it at all.) That said, there are times, either when using two hands or wrapping a pinky out in front, that a finger can block the lens. However, you're not going to have any issue with the unit. It's clear, quick and precise. Hope that answers your question. Let us know if you have any other questions.

We designed the NX7 series rangefinders specifically to work for those with the "shaky hands" issue. Our rangefinder has a wider laser that makes it easier to pick up the flag. You don't need to be as still as a statue; just hold it naturally and let the crosshairs scan the flag and the NX7 will do the work for you.

And we offer a 90-day money back guarantee, so you can try it out for yourself and see. If it doesn't met your expectations, no worries. Just contact us and we'll take it back. (Although, we're confident that it'll live up to the expectations.)

Let us know if you have any other questions!

The NX7 Pro is my first rangefinder and I used it for the first time yesterday. It is a perfect size, easy to use, super fast, and accurate. I don't see how range finders twice the price could be any better. With the Golfwrx discount and $30 rebate, it is an absolute steal.

How awesome is it to have the actual manufacturer of the product communicate directly to us, the customers, through this forum?! What a great move by Precision Pro. Just to clarify....are we able to use the GOLFWRX discount code for the $20 off, AND get the $30 mail-in rebate? Thanks!

Yes, my NX7 ended up costing me $149. Best money I've spent in a while.

Is it better to order direct or from Amazon?

Order direct. Amazon charges the seller a fee.

The customer service these guys provide is second to none. The prices are fair and they deserve every dollar.

I just ordered NX7 PRO with promotion code GOLFWRX.

None of my friends were using rangefinder. We didn't think we need one. Few weeks ago one of the friends showed up with a range finder. I then found out some of my distance guess were simply wrong, the gap was big enough that I had to change the iron and hit the ball pin high. It was going to be a club short otherwise. After couple of more occasions like that we started looking for a rangefinders.

Now most of my friends have rangefinder but my NX7 PRO will be the first Precision Pro product among Bushnell, Nikon, Callaway and others.

I hope accurate distance reading will eliminate my doubtful and indecisive swings

I had an interesting thought now that I have NX7 Pro with slope

When I shoot a flag, where should i shoot it? The flag itself, the middle of the pole where the prisms are, or the lower portion near the cup? What does Precision Pro recommend? Shooting various parts of the flag has given me different adjusted numbers.

Side note, as a math & science guy, what is the math calculation being made for the adjustment? Wouldn't it need to know ball flight of the user to be truly accurate or is the amount of slope affecting the yardage constant no matter ball flight?

Our course does not have prisms, so I shoot the flag itself. Most people are a little shorter than the average flagstick (7' ??). As a result, there is probably a very small (less than .1 yd) error in calculating the "slope". I do not think a players shot trajectory comes into play at all. If actual yardage is 150 and slope is 155, 2 players with different trajectories would still want to hit a 155 yd shot.

Used my new NX7 Pro on Sat for 1st time. Yardages checked very closely with others using different range finders. Coming from Bushnell V3, it took a little practice to get used to how the button worked.

I like it.

I have the NX7 Pro which I purchased after my Bushnell died a month after the warranty expired (shocker). I find the performance to be just as good as the Bushnell but like the NX7 more because I prefer the smaller size. It is accurate, fast and I can still shoot the pins with my shaky hands.

I had a minor fluke issue yesterday where my battery cover popped off and I lost it and the battery during my round. I call it a fluke because the cover is a screw-in and seemed very secure; I must not have tightened it enough and it came loose, but never did the device not work. I emailed through their website yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and Jesse responded to me a few hours later (on a Sunday!). I spoke to him today (Monday) and he is mailing me the cover and battery free of charge; I was just paying the expedited shipping because I need it for a 3 day tournament starting Thursday morning, which I was happy to do. I later received an email from Jesse saying there would be no charge for the shipping either.

If that isn't "second to none" customer service I don't know what is. Plus, I paid less for their device than my Bushnell and get the same performance. I will certainly recommend them to anyone who will listen.

Just ordered an NX7 Pro today....so many good stories here, especially with regards to customer service which is worth a lot, which made it an easy decision to go with Precision Pro. This will be my first ever rangefinder, been using GPS for years but it's always lacking in some ways and it kills my phone battery over the course of an 18 hole round.

Hopefully it'll arrive for a scramble I'm playing in on Saturday so I can put it through it's paces! Excited to try the slope feature as this course has two par threes where it will come in really handy, one with a raised green and one with a huge drop from tee to green....the latter is especially difficult to judge and the tee position can vary a lot so even when I play it somewhat regularly it can be hard to feel dialed in on club selection.
