It's such an awesome course. Truly one of the best I've played. Greens were running very nice. They'd had some overnight rain, so it wasn't mid-summer heathland firm (I actually landed my driver on the green on 4 and it only ran out a few yards), but what a fantastic collection of holes. Great terrain for golf.

Not exactly in the mountains since being just about 15 minutes off Geneva town center !

I would say hilly with mountain surroundings.

I had such a great day last week in North Berwick !! Walking down the streets of Edinburgh with my bag on the back, catching a train, the adventure was already great even before my first shot.

Fairly cold weather, quite windy according to my standard (but just breezy for any local), good playing conditions all in all. I got a caddie, Tom, who was really great and helpful.

 

North Berwick is a really really great track !! A lot of nice holes, some pretty quirky ones on the back nine, but I really loved all of them. Cherry on the cake, I played my handicap, including 3 birdies ! I can't recommend highly enough !!

I will be doing exactly this next Fri...staying in Edin and take the train out to NB for a 2:00 tee-time. Will be my 2nd time playing NB...can't wait - then it's off to St A for 3 days and up to Royal Dornoch!

I'll just miss you, we're driving over from Prestwick to play NB on Wednesday afternoon, and staying nearby for another 4 days. Have a great time, I know I will too.

I played twice Dornoch last Saturday, it's a super track too !

Royal Dornoch is my favorite golf course in the world, among those I've played. Last time I was there was 2012, and we played 36-18 there, and never got a bit tired of it.

Holy expletive deleted PA Muni was our high school practice track. Played there nearly every day for 3 years. It looks nothing like it used too. Really digging the tree removal. I bet the wind is a huge factor now, it was back then but now i cant even imagine.....
