Honma TW737 / quickshipgolf / ksouth9

Recommended Posts

Hi guys...

I wanna buy some Honma TW737 clubs from quickshipgolf or ksouth9.

If I compare the pictures to the german Honma homepage, they look different.

If I compare to the Honma US page they look similar like they offer on ebay.

All the reviews I can find in the USA are with the clubs and shafts they are offering. On the german reviews end tests they use other heads and shafts.

Does Honma use different designs and shafts for Germany/Europe and the USA/Canada?

Do they manufacture the more expensive clubs in Japan and the cheaper ones in China?

Do quickshipgolf / ksouth9 sell fakes? That is something I cannot believe, they have in their three accounts nearly 300k feedbacks.

Thanks for helping me.

Regards

Same thoughts as above. Pay for purchase and have club in 2-3 days. They are a bunch of guys like us and will sniff out a fake and never list it. I have had many positive experiences with them. Buy with confidence.

Thanks guys for the quick answers.

I was just asking becuse of the different loks and designs.

Do you have any infos concerning the Honma questions I've had?

Thanks....

*deep breath....*

KSOUTH9 IS ARGUABLY THE MOST REPUTABLE, BEST PRICED POWER SELLER OF GOLF EQUIPMENT ON EBAY. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT BUYING FROM HIM, THEN YOU REALLY SHOULD NOT BE BUYING CLUBS ON THE INTERNET.

Hope this helps :)

This AND you have PayPal protection.

The weight is silver in the USA and black in Europe & Japan.

quickships weight is silver, too.

There is a ring on the hosel on the clubs with a black weight, no ring on the clubs with a silver weight.

I cannot find the Vizard Shafts on any Honma Homepage. It seems to be a typical shaft in the USA, but there are no informations about it to find. ( for example, 2ndswing offers the same clubs like quickship and ksouth9 ).

golf.com & independentgolfreviews tested exactly the same Driver than they offer on ebay...

I am confused about that.

It's all about the details :)

Thanks....

Black weights, quickship weights are silver.

On the irons the "W-Forged" is black, quickship offers irons with white "W-Forged".

What does that say ???

Here's what that says:

You need to either buy your golf clubs direct from the manufacturer, or from a trusted pro shop. Purchasing clubs online is clearly not for you. You asked for our advice on the matter, and clearly have no interest in taking it. There is nothing we can say to wipe away your insecurities about buying something counterfeit.

Cheers :drinks:

I believe in 300k feedbacks they have, I believ in all the reviews I have found.

I didn't ask and will not believe what you are saying, I am just asking why there are little differences in the design, thats all.

Thanks a lot.

Regards

If that's truly where your concerns lie, then that raises a different question...

Why exactly are you asking a bunch of strangers on an internet forum, who have limited knowledge at best regarding the minutiae of a niche brand like Honma, for purchasing advice? Why would anyone on here know with certainty whether there are aesthetic differences between clubs sold in US vs European markets? Even if you got an "answer" on here, how would you be able to discern whether it was solid advice or just someone's best guess? Its utterly illogical.

Why haven't you contacted Honma's CS to voice your confusions and see what they have to say? No one on here is going to be more knowledgable on the subject then they are. Instead of playing internet detective and trying to show off your skills at playing "one of these things is not like the other".

Just sayin'.

What does that say ???

That says they are slightly different in terms of cosmetics, which is common for releases in different markets

And its called a ferrule, its not a weight.

I see what he's talking about now, the paintfill in the perimeter weighting. I don't know what the difference is.

Then again, Maybe Honma is blowing out thousands of sets of these 737 and 727’s dirt cheap.

I don’t know why else ksouth has set after set listed on no reserve auctions.

How are they making any money on them if they aren’t buying them extremely cheap?

Here are just a few of their closed listings

Click on sold listings. They are selling cheap.

Yes, if you go to the honma USA website you will see they have white paintfill and no silver band on the ferrule. Likely just a small difference for the US market

Honma isnt very popular here, if they had a US specific release and are near the end of the product cycle they likley don't have anywhere to dump them

Yeah. They must just have a $hit ton load of them and are ditching them super cheap. I had no idea they could be sold for $300-400 a set and still make any worthwhile money for the shop. They must be well under $300 a set wholesale. That seems weird to me. I always thought they were expensive clubs.

The same way you can get $150+ nikes at burlington for $25. Likely sold the whole lot of them off to ksouth for pennies on the dollar

Still seems strange. Many “luxury” brands would rather destroy product than sell it super cheap and tarnish the image.

Brands like Louis Vuitton and Cartier are famous for burning bags and luggage that doesn’t sell rather than ever discounting it.

Not quite as cheap, but brand new Muira’s were selling at second swing for $599-$799/set. Maybe Honma had way more stock to blow out?

I bought some 737Ps from Ksouth. Came all the way to ND in 3 days. Easily one of the best GI irons I've ever hit. These are cast but feel really good.

If these are the watered down N American version, I can't imagine what their JDM line is like.

I received my Honma TW737 455 driver today from a Ksouth9 auction.

One immediate difference I see from the Honma JP and Honma Eu sites listed above - on these sites, it shows the Vizard shaft with the words "Made in Japan Sakata".

My shaft does not say that, and on the shaft sticker it says:

Head and shaft made in China.

Assembled in China.

In reading online, it appears Honma resourced out a large portion of the Tour World line in order to meet demands, to China.

Maybe this has something to do with mass production..

The episode is just one example of how Liu has shaken up Honma Golf, a once-venerable Japanese golf club maker that is now emerging from the stigma of a mid-2000s bankruptcy under the wing of Chinese-controlled Marlion Holdings Ltd. Marlion Holdings acquired Honma Golf in 2010 in one of China’s most visible takeovers of a Japanese company.

Strategy is similar to what the luxury automobile had gone through, the likes of Daimler-Benz, Jaguar, BMW..... came from an era of behind the Detroit Made to become a symbol of quality and status, now their low lines are competitive in pricing to flood the market. It used to be someone's status symbol to own one of those ride, now these logo are everywhere in the city's roadways. I believe except for a very few lines of Honma are still hand crafted in Japan, almost all of the Honma line components are now made in China and assemble somewhere else, Some in Japan most in the region of marketing. No different than other OEM. In a few years , the manufacturing will be moved to other spots, not sure it'll stay in the SE Asia, Could be somewhere in Central / South America . Eventually will be in Africa if it has not turned into a waste land/ desert by then.

If this is the case I stand corrected.
