I just paid $85 a club for i200s. No way these will be worth an increase of $50-$60 a club. Get your i200s while you can. Phenomenal irons that I can't see changing out of anytime soon. I went through 4 sets in two years before finally settling on these and getting custom fit. Plan to fully test the durability of these SS heads.

Now that I'm retired, I was ecstatic when I ordered my i200's a few weeks ago when they dropped to the same $85, only $599 for a set of 7. That is a bargain. First round tomorrow at Torrey Pines.

Those wedges look great, I cant wait to demo them. The irons look nice as well, but considering I really like my irons right now I don't think I will be looking to purchase those. I'd have to find something I really want to spend the money on to replace my i200s. But, as with many club ho's never say never. :cheesy:

Mostly PING clubs, with TaylorMade woods.

Kinda glad they look the way they do since it’s not giving me the instant urge to order them immediately. Not that I don’t like them, just don’t like them enough to switch from i200.

This is assuming that performance will be marginally improved. And feel. But I guess I should hit them just in case.

Damn... I just WRXed myself.

Wow. Surprised by the comments. I think the 210’s are hideous. That weird toe shape may be among the worst I’ve ever seen. Giant wide soles as well. Big strike out for me.

The wedges are a different story. Very nice.

I think most of the issue with the toe shape is that there is a glare on the lower left edge of the toe in every pick that screws with your perception.

There does appear to be quite a lot of offset in the long irons. I would need them in hand to judge sole width but they do look thick.

To truly WRX yourself you have to make 10 posts on how you hate them, current model is better, and call them ugly.

1 week later post that they are growing on you.

1 week after than post that you preordered them without ever hitting a demo.

Bonus points if you put them on BST within 5 days of release.

I’ll echo many others with the S55 meets i200 idea. Love it. Can’t wait to see the i500 and decide where the spend some serious coin.

Wow these look amazing! I loved the i200 but my biggest complaint was how gnarled up the face got after just a few rounds. Hopefully the 210’s stand up to the wear a bit better. That said, Ping has done a great job on these. Will be interested to give them a hit. As for the wedges...they look very simple. That’s not a bad thing per se but I’d like to see what grinds the offer.

Ping is definitely making each set sexier and sexier. However I don’t believe this will move the needle much from already iblade and i200 owners, unless the performance is dramatic. But I think if you’re don’t have either iblade/i200 then people will purchase. I’m still in honeymoon phase with iblade.

They aren't trying to sell to 200 owners, so don't worry about that.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

I saw these and the forged irons yesterday at the shop i work at. The forged irons are just a forged face poly filled design similar to much of what is out there in a hollow body iron design. they looked good though.

Poly filled ???

Like P790's - or am I not understanding something. This is the first time that I'm hearing the hollow cavity being filled.

Are they similar in size to the I series, or are they in between the I series and G400 irons? Did you get to hear any of the talking points?

the are a good size. talking points are forged face, tour style head. the rep really didn't know much. i was most impressed by the wedge. very nice looking as seen in the pictures.

Definitely a disagreement among reps. Every rep.(4) I’ve seen says the i500s are hollow. One rep had a cross sectioned 7 iron, air was the filling. P790 and PXG cross sectioned irons all included the foam.. Perhaps your rep. didn’t know he didn’t know.. the whole set I saw had more offset than the iBlade and S55..definitely more than the P790. All the “players” distance irons claim to be forged. A little deceptive since two have cast bodies and forged faces (P790 and i500). The other has a forged body and a cast face (PXG)

possibly. I dunno. that would make sense as the g700s are hollow, and these are basically a "players" version of those. they looked good, i didnt get to hit them but i probably would not buy them. hollow irons, empty or filled are not my thing.

If they sound anywhere near like the G700s I don’t think they will be a big seller. Absolutely the worst sounding and feeling iron Ping has ever produced. A couple of former owners described the sound as a cheap sounding clink. While they loved the distance they couldn’t tolerate the sound and feel of the iron. Both went back to iBlades with power spec loft..
