Surprised to see praise for the zstar since it's a 2 piece ball. Usually you guys poo-poo those kind of things. I see they come in yellow, so time to give them a shot!

 

I'm all about putting feel (mostly cos Im new so I only notice spin when it's on a big ol banana slice) so we'll see how they do versus my Tour Softs.

 

They definitely do have a unique feel. If you’re a pro V1 Guy you might find both hard off the putter face. I actually like that. I made my buddy a believer. He ran out of z stars so played a sleeve of pro V1s and all round he said he missed the feel and just characteristics of the z Star. I’m not a bit hype guy, but I have no problem stocking up on this version of the XV. I had about 12 dozen and ordered more. These balls are for real. The only other ball that comes close to value per performance is the KSIG and I have way too many of those. If it came down to it I’d probably trade them straight up for these

There is no 2018 model. These are 2017. Came out a year ago. Same as that 6 ball trial pack for $9.95 deal. I got 12 dozen on the last sale from this site blowing out the trial packs a couple months ago. Great ball.

Thanks OP, 10 dozen yellow XV’s on the way! XV is my favorite ball but after Rock Bottom ran out of prior gen deals was having trouble finding deals. I racked up on Taylor Made Tour Preferred X ammo boxes from Rock Bottom at a great price and just finished those off. The prior gen TP X is great but look forward to returning to the yellow XV!

Does anyone remember if it said the "2 box limit, orders will be reduced to 2 boxes" when this was first posted?

I read the page @ the time and don't recall seeing that, ended up ordering 5 dozen. Wondering now if they're going to reduce all of our orders to 2?

Srixon was running the same promo at select stores during Master's weekend. I picked up 3 Doz XV and 3 Doz Z Star to compare at Edwin Watts. I really like the XV, I played it back in 2012 or so, but then went back to Bridgestone, XV probably will be my go to ball for the foreseeable future..

The 2 dozen per model limit was there from the start. Not sure about your wording though.

From my experience, these are restrictions from Srixon, not golfballs.com. They will manually update your order to only include two boxes of each ball/personalization combo. That being said, you can just change the font, the text color, the alignment aid, the ball color, etc and still order many boxes of these balls.

The first thing it says is “LIMIT 2 PER CUSTOMER - BALLS SHIP 6/11.” They do have free shipping with no minimum though.
