So I have a chance to get a Revenge for a song but no availability to try first. I wanted to get your thoughts on this. I currently play a Matrix Red Tie in my driver and like the shaft. I have a moderate swing tempo and SS of 100. I have hit the Oban Gold in the past and did not like at all. Would the Revenge be more like the Red Tie or Gold? Looking to get a backup shaft try and tough to find review or input on these shafts. Any thought on this shaft or what it may compare to would be appreciated.

Revenge is known for an active softer tip different from other OBAN shafts, and since the Red Tie is super tip stiff, they are not similar, but very different.

Thanks- if anywhere similar to the Gold that would definitely make it not a fit for me.

Profile similar maybe but the revenge has a different feel. More soft in fact. I've played the revenge in hybrids and the gold in driver. More of a soft, easier to load shaft is the revenge. You may find you'll enjoy it. Personally, I've gone to the kiyoshi purple and haven't looked back.
