First Time To Myrtle Beach, suggestions welcome.

So the annual guy's golf trip was moved from Pinehurst to Myrtle Beach this year. None of us have ever been so it's all new: courses, the lodging, the dining, the night life.

 

We are playing: Thistle, Caledonia, TPC Myrtle and Tide Water.

 

Any suggestions on anything about Myrtle beach would be helpful.

Depending on where your staying and your tee times, give yourself plenty of time to get there.

You have some really solid courses lined up but it’s quite a haul from Thistle to Caledonia.

It would help to know where you are staying. All 4 courses are premium courses, so you should be happy with the golf.

 

Cal + TPC are south of town. Thistle + Tidewater are north of town.

Work on your directions and drive times. If you rely on GPS, get the addresses.

Broadway At The Beach has a lot of entertainment.

If looking for good Gent Club: The Masters or Dollhouse

 

Some Restaurants: Carolina Roadhouse, Calif Dreaming, Boundary House, Sam Sneads,

Thoroughbreds, NY Prime, Chestnut Hill, Sea Capt House, Hook & Barrel, etc, plus they have all the chains.

Thee Dollhouse is a chain, so there are more than one, usually in big cities, plus MB.

 

FYI, The DH in MB was located next to the Waterway Hills course with the tram car ride over the waterway.

That building has been torn down and Waterway Hills has closed, for future Grande Dunes expansion.

TDH moved about 2 miles north into what used to be the Crazy Horse.
