No matter who they are, it's painful to swatch a tour pro going through something like this because their struggles are so public. SK looks like he's starting to follow the path of Steven Bowditch, who has now missed 25 of his last 26 cuts! That has got be rough. He did shoot a 68 in his last round at the Byron Nelson so maybe things are looking up!

I know he's got be to struggling, but I think I'd still take his profession in current state if I could...LOL

He was good enough to get there and win, he will eventually figure it out.

Smylie Kaufman has never been consistent, he has 1 win and three top tens in 3 seasons. That's not exactly world beater's stuff. Maybe he has overachieved in his first two years and now he comes back to what he is really able to achieve. Maybe he ist a second tier tour pro who hit it big for one season. For every Justin Thomas there is a counterpart every year who hits it well for a year or two and then runs out of gas. Maybe Smylie is one of them.

Sad to see guys just lose it like that. I haven't seen but have heard he's wild with the driver.

His stats are woeful... all of them. Feel for the guy. I’ve made way more money than him this year!

Still wondering how was able to afford those spring break trips. Natty Light sponsorships can’t pay all that much.

The guy has like 3.5 mil in career earnings. It ain't great compared to the other guys on tour, but it's still 3.5 mil.

Plus, i'm sure Rick and Jordan covered most of that, lol.

3.5 mil means very little when he pays between 6-10% to the caddie, living expenses, spring break trips, women and beiber-boy haircuts.

He is just playing to play and use up his exemption.

As are many others. Why wouldn't you if you are exempt on the PGA Tour and can't play down to the Web.com tour? As for the Euro Tour he won't get any appearance fees to play there, considering his name, world ranking and difficulty breaking 80, and why go there if it won't help you stay exempt on the PGA Tour?

Based on what I read and heard from players on tv, they should be playing a limited schedule based on courses they feel they will do good and be well rested. Beau Hossler said he won't play more then 3 weeks in a row and he is way young. My favorite player Tommy Gainey did the same thing played too much and flamed out.

Just wondering how Tommy Gainey becomes your favorite player?

That was a well placed Beiber-burn

I'm think we might have differing opinions on what the words "very little" mean as it relates to 3 years of work lol.

I'd think there's some sponsor money to offset some tour costs, no?

its simple... its called marriage.

No. He missed half of his cuts in 2015 on the Web.com tour (10/20) when he qualified for the PGA Tour. He had a win and a couple of other high finishes that got him his card. Smylie missing cuts on tour is nothing new. It has been going on quite frequently since the start of the 2015/2016 PGA Tour season after he made his first 8 cuts. The numbers do not lie. The difference is that he's nowhere close to making cuts now and is struggling to keep it under 80. That's tough for any touring pro week in week out. Hope he gets it corrected. He seems like a good guy. Professional touring golf is so cutthroat. The players that keep their playing privileges without winning never get enough credit.

I saw him one day with the two gloves and noticed played every week and just started to like him. They showed him on tv today draining a birdie putt.
