30 years of playing golf, and I've never actually done a WITB before other than my signature. It's not the newest bag by any stretch of the imagination, but it works for me.

 

Driver: Titleist 905R 9.5° | Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue | S-flex | 60g | 44.5"

(I also have a Titleist 913D2, and 917D2, but this combination smokes both in combined driving)

 

3 Wood: Callaway Diablo Octane Tour 15° | Callaway Golf | S-flex | 70g

(This just recently replaced my original S2H2 Big Bertha 3 Wood)

 

5 Wood: Callaway Hawkeye VFT 18° | Callaway System 60 | R-flex | 62g

(This thing is bulletproof for Par 5 and short Par 4. Money club)

 

Irons: Mizuno MP-33 3-PW | KBS C-Taper | S+ flex | 2° up | +1/4"

(have the 2 iron as well, but it doesn't match set serial numbers. Plus I don't use it anymore, OMS)

 

SW: Cleveland RTX-3 | 54°/11 | Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex

 

LW: Cleveland RTX-3 | 60°/6 | Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex

 

Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 Studio Select (2010) | 35" | SC Matador Midsize

(weights are aftermarket, after changing the grip I wanted to test a few different weights to see what I liked. Originals are now on order)

(Custom Cameron Dancing Maple Leaf cover, took a while to find this one)

 

Ball: Titleist PRO V1 (I realize it's an "X" in the pic but I like the black #'s better for pics)

 

Grips: Golf Pride MCC (I used GP Tour Velvet BCT for years but after trying these fell in love with them)

 

Bag: Sun Mountain . C-130 Circa 2010. (I miss carrying and my Hoofer, but can't do it anymore)

 

Please excuse the odd rain drop on the clubs pics. Weather was nice all day until I got in the car to drive to the course ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I live in Vancouver, BC so just a couple of hours from Seattle. I've played down there quite a bit, some great golf.

 

Few friends went to UDub, so I'm a big fan of their athletics program and the school itself.

Llmont said my thoughts exactly--- Yeah those 905r drivers were killer with the PL Blue shafts. I have one with a Pro Force V-2 in it but have gotten too old to swing it with any authority. You do the MP33s like I do some of my Macs as in putting more modern shafts in.

If Henrik Stenson ever needs a backup 3 wood, he might be contacting you. He will just have to deal with the extra 2* of loft and a stiff shaft. :smilie_cally:

Played a 905s with Grafalloy Blue for quite a bit myself, 905 series drivers with Blue are cult classics for a reason. Definitely a nice set-up there, lots of no nonsense solid choices.?

Absolutely IF you have enough lead in the old pencil to swing them--- !0 years ago yes for me but now it is more like R-300 and believe it or not older Hogan Apex #2 shafts which in a Hogan plays senior but in a Macgregor plays Medium about like a R-300 Gold. MP-33 is a timeless design I actually played a set for several years when I played comp. Wore them out. In fact the 68s in my signature have S-300s which are a little much for me with the S-300s. Tired me out last week with the heat and believe it or not CPO where we were playing. This week my 82 VIPs with the Hogan shafts are back in the bag

Yes, as legendary as the 905R/Blue combo is, they are incredibly hard to find. It took me over 2 years to find a replacement after I stupidly sold it a few years back.

how much better do the Mizuno Mp33 Irons perform with a new age shaft in them like your KBS Ctaper shafts. I am thinking about putting KBS Tours in my Mizuno MP29 irons maybe the Modus3 130 stiff in them.

I considered all those options. Honestly, it’s such a classic head design I don’t think the heads care what shaft is in them (if that makes sense). I used to hit the MP-33 quite high with DGS300, but it seems a touch lower now which I like. I also think I hit them further, relatively speaking with the C-taper as well.

Very nice looking bag of classics with a modern twist. Kudos for sticking with what works for you.
