I played the dropped ball, then I found the original outside the hazard. I played the dropped ball out. I just wasnt sure if I incurred an additonal penalty for playing the wrong ball or an incorrect drop.

For shiggles, I did hit a 2nd shot on my original ball, which then probably triggers another penalty.

Sick drive, Sull

FAbb said my tee action was 1000 times better than earlier this year.

Are we sure that the Solstice special guest won't get scared away after playing the first round with City?

Were you?

Out at Waverly, Go_Time told he was US Navy.

I suggested calling him Battleship. Awesome, right?

Then, PQ decided it was better to call him Rihanna.

After a couple missed putts, it was being demoted to "Dinghy".

I admitted to my several vicious tops, so I felt like my embarrassing play was all on the table already, so it was safe for me to talk about yours.

Now I'm worried I forgot about something else I did.

Fabb topped a drive on old 2, our second hole, right in front of the tee box. You could tell he still seemed a little tentative taking big swings but it was fine, he was going to play a smart shot back into the fairway. He then hit a hybrid back into the fairway which didnt seem to be in trouble - it was a straight shot and WE LOST THE BALL.

I wish I could mspaint this right now to show how truly insane it was.

Sully did seem to leave himself a lot 40 foot first putts from above the hole.

Got back from Virginia where my kids did the Drive, Chip & Putt. My son didn't do well, but my daughter got 3rd placed and advances to the next round.

My boy hit 1 drive OB, 1 worm burner short, and 1 decent drive. In the chips he duffed the first one, then hit 2 ok chips. He canned the 6 foot putt, but he wasn't good on the 15 and 30 footers. I think the OB drive kind of threw him off kilter. He gets upset, and then his game goes to crap.

My girl's drives went 1 OB, 1 ok but short and 1 decent. Her chips were: 1 duff, 1 long, 1 right next to the hole. Her putting was pretty amazing. 6 footer went a foot long. Canned the 15 footer. 30 footer was within a foot. She ended up winning the putting portion. Honestly, given how much she plays/practices (hardly at all), it was probably a fluke.

Here's her leaderboard.

Despite my complaining about having to work earlier, circumstances presented themselves to get out. I had to play with my boss so south of Baltimore was only option. I chose Oak Creek because I played it for the first time a few months ago and was impressed. DO NOT PLAY OAK CREEK. They have completely lost the course. Ripped up fringes. Dead muddy fairways. Just a complete disaster. Somehow the greens were still fine. They charged me $49. They should have charged me $4.90.

Not sure if I've ever seen a course with healthy greens, extracted fringes, and bastardized fairways. That's weird lol

that used to be one of my favorite public tracks, but that's really depressing. haven't played it in 2018 and that looks bleak.

looks like i've gotta give LP a try finally...

I played there 2-3 months ago and it was fine! It has been a top 10ish course in Maryland from GolfAdvisor reviews which speaks to its affordability/condition/playability. I was stunned.

Serious question - do you card your score where the ability to play the hole correctly wasn’t quite possible because of the conditions? I didn’t play well, it certainly wasn’t all the course, but still.

Hello, gentleman. How’s things in MD/VA? Tryin to get settled here in South Beach. Clubs and furniture arrive tomorrow. Miami Beach Golf Club is within walking distance of our apartment, and we are considering joining. It’s semi-private so memebership is affordable. Going to try and do a preview day after clubs arrive and check it out.

If any of you are ever in the Miami area, send me a note and we’ll play a round.

CostCo sells Blue Mash gift cards? That's odd. Not bad odd. Just odd odd. Would not have expected it.

Blue Mash does some odd things though. You know those signs on the side of the highway that list attractions? You know, gas station 0.5 miles left, McDonalds 1 mile right. Blue Mash is on one of those signs at 495 & Connecticut. It's a solid 30 minute drive away from there. I've never seen a highway sign show something so far away.
