Poll: Staff bag, Carry bag, or Cart bag?

I'm getting it down to 3 over time - SM 2.5+, and then for push cart/ride - H2NoLite Cart, and Ping Pioneer.

 

What I'd like is a 4.5 lb cart/range bag with a dual strap andl legs that don't get in the way - a flex bottom. When traveling, I can see taking the 2.5 and H2NoLite in one travel bag.

Heading into my 50th year my carrying days are gone but I still walk the course and find cart bags more practical for push trolleys than staff or carry bags. Currently have a TM but don't know what model.

Received a Caddytek EZ cart (Costco) for Christmas. Recently picked up a Ping Traverse cart bag to go with it. That way I'm covered whether I'm walking or taking a cart.

I have both a carry and a cart. Reason is that my carry bag is not oriented the correct direction for cart riding, and my cart bag is huge and only single strap, not made to walk with really.

I had always been a carry bag person. Then two years ago, I had some elbow issues and decided to full push cart mode and bought a ClicGear along with the B3 Bag. It was good but I still love the flexibility to go to the range or practice hipping and putting without having to unpack and set up a cart. So I have gone back to a carry bag and will continue to use my push cart when playing.

The local pro shop currently has a Callaway Rogue Staff Bag in stock, and whenever I see it I go weak at the knees, as it’s just so pretty. Must. Not. Give. In.

Always a carry bag for me. I used to have a leather Taylormade Maranello bag, which was my all-time favourite until the stand broke. Now I use an Ogio

I wanted a small cart bag that would work for a pull cart

Been looking for a vinyl type bag for years..had to go the Japan route.

Since back in November, my Ogio Shredder Stand has become the backup & travel bag (lighter and fits better in my SKB), an almost identical looking Ogio Ozone Cart has become my primary riding bag, and an Orlimar Pitch & Putt with 6-7 clubs is about the only way I can handle walking even 9 at my home club (long distances and steep hills between a few greens and tees). I had a staff bag that was mostly for office display and occasional use at work scrambles, but I ended up selling it and already partially regret it.

I walk with a Push cart or ride and went from a mini staff bag to a C-130 cart bag, to a TEE Exotics cart bag (14-way top) and I can't stand the top. I just broke down and bought a SLDR mini staff bag (8.5" top) off ebay because I like the handle and strap on the back of the bag, not the front. I also want the traditional top. I always thought the blue and black staff bag of TM was a good look

I walk all of my rounds other than two or three scrambles a year. I use a carry bag (Jones original) for the vast majority of of those rounds. But I prefer my staff bag over my cart bag to the extent I use my push cart. I don't like the 14 way divider on my cart bag and although it seems to setup well on a riding cart, the club slots seem backwards for a push cart.

Unfortunately I’m sending the SLDR mini staff bag bag to seller. One of long zippers on the front is broken. I was excited to get it and now back to ththe drawing board

Cart bag. I never ride, but I always use a push cart. Cart bags tend to fit better on push carts and usually have better club organization systems (assuming you like 14 way dividers, which you should) and more/better pockets.

 

Though, a stand bag would be better for for the range. I have a little Sunday bag I could bring a few clubs in, if I wanted to, I guess.

This forum must lean to a young demographic.

 

Cart bags completely dominate at our club because the walkers mostly use Bag Boy or other trolleys.

This is really the problem. Most of my full rounds are pushcart and dictate a cart bag. But it's a pain at the range.
