I understand the need to watermark your images, but when it's right in the middle of the image it's hard to really focus on the golf hole...

I was just about to say this. These are always some of my favorite photo sets. Really incredible images and perspectives that you don’t often get, and then the watermark just Fs them U, B A R.

Seriously though...those holes were cut in ridiculous locations. After watching the group before Perez and Thomas putt off the green then watch Pat barely miss his putt and see it roll 20 feet off the green...I clearly saw a blunder on the USGA's part.

 

14 and 15 were just plain MEAN... should be illegal for greens to be that fast.

Stunning photos before the USGA clown club did their worst. I realise Shinnecock will get a massive payment from the USGA but how much will they need to spend to make the course playable for members again?

Probably not the right thread but I just watched the 1995 USO at Shinnecock when Pavin won. I was almost laughing wondering how could someone win a USO hitting the ball 220 to 240 yards off the tee? His shot on 18 went about 220. Also how about those awful irons he won with in the VAS Cleveland irons. Lol pretty amazing performance.
