Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

Hey guys, this question probably has already been addressed, if so feel free to link me to the correct place to look.

 

I had 2 dozen Ksigs from the first release and absolutely LOVED the golf ball. I swapped out my Prov1x & Tp5x for it.

 

When they released it again this year I jumped and bought 6 dozen. Unless I'm way off based and my swing has changed that dramatically since last year, the ball does not feel the same as last years model.

 

It does not hold up for me past 6 or 7 holes. My wedges just seem to tear the cover apart & the ball is not checking up on the greens like I felt it did last year.

 

Is the 4 piece ball the exact same ball that was released last year or am I crazy?

Now that I have more rounds in with the K3, I am not a fan. It is a pretty good ball, especially for the money, but I like the K4 off of the driver quite a bit better. The K3 spins too much off driver for me and is not as long. I might play it in the winter, but I am not buying more for the other three seasons.

I'm not impressed with the 3 piece either. It seems to be short on all shots. If there's a headwind they balloon quite a bit compared to the B330s and U6 I've been using lately. Feel isn't that good to me. Feels muddled. I found my self not wanting to use it. This ball is comparable to the Top Flite Gamer Tour. IMO the Gamer is a better ball.

The K3, like many others, isn't for everyone. It works very well for me. So much that my playing partners commented on a few wedge shots I hit into the green. High trajectory, soft landing, stop in its tracks. Good feel off the putter (admittedly the KSig feels better on the greens), good distance off the driver, good distance off irons. An overall REALLY good ball for me.

Weird that people think the 3 piece is any shorter than the 4 piece. I've hit some drives over 330 with it, and my stepson has hit some over 350 with it. Incredible ball, amazing value.

It's all subjective I suppose. I didn't find it any shorter. I just much prefer the feel of the OG KSig.

 

For us amateurs, I don't think our swings are consistent enough to claim one ball 5-10 yards longer than the other without some sort of ball flight data to back it up.

If anyone would like to do a thorough test of the original K-Sig and newer K-3 balls I will be glad to send you a sleeve of each, left over from the balls supplied to me by DP4 for my own testing last month (results upthread).

 

Just send me a PM and I'll mail you the KIRKLAND balls, gratis. I just ask that you promise to be a careful comparison of them to your usual ball and post the results here.

OK we’ve had a volunteer step up and claim the “test pack” of K-sig/K-3/AVX. I had a lot of fun, hope he does too.

I have the K-Sig but not the K3 or AVX. I would like to try the AVX sometime though, maybe the K3!

Is the new lower price on the golves a bad thing? Doesn't a .97 ending mean it's a closeout and they won't be back? I LOVE those golves

Show them my picture, tell them it’s at the Homestead PA store. They will check the computer and match the price.

i had a kirkland in my bag , havent played them for a long time, but i loved it, it just seemed that every shot went straight, and thats what i want as a mid handi... really liked it...feel and all, dont remember lliking it this much, i will wait for costco re-stock... and gran some, too
