Anyone compare Snell Black vs Cut Blue/Grey?

Black is def softer. I didn't like Blue much. Too hard and didn't spin much. Grey had overall better feeling.

That was my experience. Wanted to like the Cut Blue, but like the feeling of the Grey much better. Blue felt really hard and clicky.

I’m surprised the Cut Blues aren’t getting anywhere near the attention the K-Sigs got. The Blues are as good as any urethane ball right now. They are cheaper than the K-Sig when buying in bulk and are always available. On top of that, it was the highest spinning ball on golf digests spin chart this year (not sure how much that’s worth but I don’t think they pull their numbers out of thin air). Are people turned off by the name? Feel just not there for some? I think they feel better of the putter than the K-sig (Blues felt softer to me) but what the hell do I know? Perhaps people in the market for a $16/doz golf ball aren’t the ones looking for the most spin.

I tried them, couldn't stand the feel. Performance seemed fine and they're very cheap with the bulk buys. I went with the Vice Pro Plus and am happy.

I'm about to do a massive test with every urethane ball on the market. On the direct to consumer side I have sleeves of:

Aris Captain

Aris Hero

OnCore ELIXR

Snell MTB Black

Snell MTB Red

KSig3

KSig

Cut Grey

Cut Blue

Vice Pro Soft

Vice Pro

Vice Pro Plus

The only two I'm leaving off the list are the MG because I played it before and didn't love it and Seed because I'm never going to sign up for a subscription model. Are there any others that I'm missing?

Callaway Epic Max LS 9* Fujikura Ventus Blue VeloCore 6 X
TaylorMade SIM2 15* & 19* Fujikura Ventus Blue VeloCore 7 & 8 X

Srixon ZX7 4-AW Mitsubishi MMT 105 TX

Mizuno T20 Raw 57/11@56 & 61/07@60 Mitsubishi MMT Scoring Wedge 105 TX

Evnroll ER 2.2 MidBlade Mitsubishi MMT Putter Concept 135
Titleist Pro V1x #13

Interesting, will keep my eyes on your results even though I'm happy with the Pro Plus and have 5 dozen to use before I worry about it again.

Right, that's why I had the goal of figuring out which one I wanted to play 5 dozen of before making the order because the bulk order is definitely how you get the most bang for buck out of this direct to consumer market. I will say Vice is the leader in the club house for me without hitting a single shot simply because I can slap my company logo on the balls and write them off. The rest, from what I have seen, don't offer that yet. So another company is going to have to be extremly good or considerably cheaper to get me off Vice.

Can anyone tell me why all these direct to customer balls have a really noticeable gap between the two sides of the ball?

You don't really notice this on premium balls besides Taylormade TP5/x, but does it have any affect on the ball flight?

Technically they can all come directly to your house. And a lot of times all the balls are on sale at some point in the year. Not really a benefit to go direct to consumer.

In my opinion they are made cheaper than other balls when you cut them open and have a look inside. Cheaper materials. Go look at them cut I half
