When the single your paired with on the public course youre playing because your club is closed monday is wearing golfing sandals.....has warrior wedges and wants to know if you too will be playing the tips..(only 6750 but he hit his bertha II crooked and 220). Left after 12, he wasnt so bad but slooooooow pace of play. Dont know how some of you homies do it...

I thought I would never say this, I felt sort of angry and wanting to leave the group when.... we were on pace for a 3 1/2 hour round on a hilly golf course, two in the group had been almost non-stop chatting about everything in their life, their family, their investments, their mutual friends.......... except when they were lining up for putt.

There is no one behind us but a 3-some riding golf carts, behind the 3-some far away was the lady's first group which they most likely would not catch up with any of us. We finally let the 3-some play through but the chatting never stopped.

We were walking, but one of these two started pushing for faster pace like we were blocking the whole golf course, He started racing up the hill from green to the next tee box, leaving the group as soon as he putted out to tee off on the next hole, running between shots all the while trying to engage in conversation with this other guy...... Not sure if he has ADD or some sorts of it or maybe he drank the whole pot of coffee before teeing off.

Kept apologizing to me when I miss a shot because they were talking in the back ground.......but they kept on yakking away ! First time , you're forgiven, but second, and third.......made me believe you're doing it on purpose !

The 3rd in the group mentioned his wife also play golf but she "would never" play with the guy running between shots........ I could understand why. Chalked this round up as one of the unpleasant experience I've had in the last 4 decades and I could count all of them in one hand.

I heard one on the range yesterday that is probably in this thread somewhere. After topping his second consecutive shot with the driver and the ball dribbling off the end of the tee area, guy next to me says to his cartner, "so that's how it's going to be today." Cartner replies "I hope we see the beverage cart on the 1st hole." Our tee time was 6:40am and this group was two groups behind us.

When we finished our lunch they still hadn't come in. Some people had a long day; fortunately I wasn't one of them.

When I go 9-8-7 on the first 3 holes.

Well, the 8th hole should spectacular if you can keep the progression going!!

You would think so, but the eagle, albatross, and hole in one never follow...

When you are the last group out in tourney and you finish in 5:40 because you are playing with two provisional members who shoot 113 and 137. Kill me!

On a side note, next tournament you finish in 4:10...mosey down to your car to unload the cart...mosey down to the clubhouse and grab a burger and a few beers...pay...and the group that teed off right behind you shows up 50 minutes later!!!!

When you playing partner, who is terrible, decides he's going to drink a 12 pack during the round then hit 3-4 balls off each tee because he can't hit the fairway (or even any playable area of the course) and then starts moaning and groaning like a tennis player after every hit. 5:30 to play a round on a shorter course. It wasn't a fun day.

When the course you're planning to play advertises 5somes as the norm...

That is frightening.

Honestly surprised there aren’t more courses that do this. From a revenue perspective, it’s one more slot per tee time that they could squeeze money out of. I don’t agree with it, but I could totally see cash strapped courses doing this to try to make extra revenue.

When you play in a company scramble and one of your teammates tells you he only plays once a year at the company scramble.

During the same scramble, on the par 4 and 5's your teammates drives:

One doesn't reach the ladies tee.

One reaches the ladies tee but not the fairway.

One makes it past the ladies tee and the trees on the right side of the fairway and ends up in the next fairway over.

When your team shoots -2 in a scramble on a 5600 yard course.
