Just sold off 12 dozen KSIGS . My goal is to end up with me Tournament Balls 2016 CS Truvis -9 dozen on hand .

Also have 5 dozen K3

6 dozen TF Gamers

Still have 10 dozen 2017 XV’s which I can play or sell if I can break even on them (got them all on promo packs or $20 deals)

Trying to eventually get to 2 balls. My tourney ball and a good quality cheaper ball.

Srixon 585 5-AW - Modus 105 Stiff

I too like the idea of having a setup like that. I don't really want 3 or 4 or more to chose from! My Chrome Soft is my first choice so looking for my second (all around ball to also use for spring/fall times and when I play a really tough or new to me course! :)

I suggest trying the Too Flight Gamer. Non urethane but has plenty of spin on normal greens. I played great with one last week so loaded up for $7.50 a dozen. Great in the wind as well and for $0.62 a ball it’s a slam dunk!

Either that or the K3 . I love my Chrome Soft but the Gamer is really good for 20% the cost.

My problem is when I find a ball I really like, I load up. My Favorite now is Ksig 3. I started out with one order but after a few rounds ordered another 4 doz. Have been playing them for 2 months and just love them. Not a lot of side spin but really check up around the greens. I won 4 dozen NXT Tour Softs, I Played them for a few rounds but came back to the Ksig3. I'm not going to buy any more K3s' because they seem to be readily available.

Inventory:

6 1/2 KSig 3

3 1/2 NXTs

2 KSig 4

2 Bridgestone e6 (2016)

2 Srizon Q-Star (2014)

:golfer:

what are Ksigs??

My golf ball Stash Shelf is currently down to five dozen yellow AVX and two sleeves of white TP5.

My golf bag currently contains about seven loose AVX and one beat-up TP5.

A couple weeks ago I bought a dozen TP5 for, as much as anything, checking to see if the AVX I’ve been playing for 8-1/2 months is really “all that” or if the hot new model from TM might be just as good for my game. After six rounds I concluded that yes, the AVX is indeed “all that”.

Anybody want two sleeves of TP5? ;-)

Looks like a restock on AVX will be coming some time before Thanksgiving.

I agree with trying the Top Flites. I bought some Gamer Tours @ $10/doz and Gamer Softs @ $7.50/doz. Both seem to work well for me, and the Tours are urethane. Others have mentioned durability issues in other threads, but I haven’t noticed that it’s any worse than other balls I’ve played. And at less than $1/ball I don’t mind switching it out if it gets a bit dinged up.

How much would you want for the TP5"s and/or a sleeve of the AVX's?

Which Gamer ball are you guys referring to? The Tour's or the Soft's?

Sorry, man. I was just kidding about selling the leftover TP5's. I'll stick them in my locker at the golf course for next time I get the urge to play something different than my AVX's.

  • 1 month later...

I'm down to just 4 dozen yellow AVX on the shelf, plus the 7-8 balls currently in my bag. Probably need to think about restocking some time before Christmas.

As for the rest of my stash, nada.

I had a TP5 in my bag until last weekend. Use it as a provisional, lost the TP5 but found the AVX, so I guess that was a good outcome. Nothin' but AVX now...gotta stick with what works!

If I ever get back together with one of my golfing buddies, he has a sleeve of those AVX's saved for me to try! In the mean time, I will just play one of the four different choices I have here til I can get it down to just two! :)

It's coming up toward a year of playing (mostly) the AVX. I think it's about the go on my list of Things That Just Work. That's the stuff I always go back to after venturing out because I get bored or because GolfWRX is a bad influence on me. Pending arrival of AVX my list of Things That Just Work includes:

1) Ping G-series irons. The exact model doesn't matter, they all work better than any irons I've used before or since.

2) Vokey wedges. The particular bounce and grind varies but the basic shape and visuals have been my favorite for 15+ years.

3) ProV1x balls. I like the AVX better but ProV1x has worked really good for a long time for me.

4) Pingman skinny putter grips. I've tried others, all the way up to counterbalanced SuperStrokes. Always putt better with Pingman.
