Havent been to retail in a while, where is the $20 deal?

Deal is over. Ended 6/17.

All over the internet shops and Galaxy and Dicks had them in store. Maybe others as well.

I got mine at Carl’s Golfland shipped 2doz for $45 before I knew they were showing up in store.

40 dozen. Holy crap. How many balls does he lose?

LOL! Not that many actually. He’s a 5 Cap and finished 4th in the Ohio state University Club Championship match play tournament last year at Scarlet.

He just fell in love with the ball last fall when I gave him a sleeve of mine. He saw the sale he went a bit crazy. He figures he won’t need balls for 4 or 5 years now.

That's fine if you don't have a wandering eye.

I'd be worried that something else would come along that I would want to try and eventually prefer. Then I'd be on Ebay try to unload 34 boxes of golf balls!

Yeah. I know some guys just have an itch to try different balls. I don’t think it’s a good idea. I think getting completely used to one ball is a big positive for improving scores. You really get to learn what it does in the wind and on the various short shots. Once I decide I like a ball I can happily stick with it for years.

There are no big changes in multipiece balls from year to year as much as the manufacturers would like you to believe otherwise.

In two years when I’m low and Srixon runs another promo I’ll buy another 20 dozen of their latest version of the XV.

I recently picked these up as my gamer since they're usually on sale for around $30/dozen. I was using the Tour B series but $40 was getting a bit steep. Bought a pack of the XV's and fell in love. Great feel around the greens with great spin! Then....the $20 deal dropped and I bought 5 dozen. Didn't go too crazy but I kinda wish I did in hindsight. Does Srixon run these types of deals annually?

Anyways, TLDR: Bought it at "regular sale" price, rewarded with an even more amazing sale price. Love the ball for the price and I'm happy with my choice! Thank you Srixon for the amazing sale on an amazing ball!

I could be wrong, but Srixon seems to run huge reductions right before an updated model comes out.

Yea, I was definitely thinking that they were moving towards a 2018 or 2019 ball. I'm okay playing a bit of an older ball though. I feel like every time I turn around to buy new balls, there's a new model these days.

That's where you and I differ. I am a birdie making machine regardless of which ball I am using.

I picked up 4 dozen. I do agree that they seem to be more durable than other urethane balls. My wedges don't cut the XV, the way they do with other urethane balls. I am a big fan of any premium ball that sells for $20/dozen. I also bought some Snell and Cut golf balls and they perform equally well to all the other brand name premium balls.

I would put the Srixon ZStar and ZStarXV against any other tour level ball and they will outperform the opposition. The only thing I am not a fan of with the Srixons are the visible seam. Outside that, they are thee best ball available imo

Agree they are very good. And at $20 that they have been routinely available at..Perfect.

I don't see the seem though. Maybe I'm not looking close enough?

Prefer the performance of the XV and the feel of the regular Z Star.

They narrowed the performance gap with the current gen. The XV now feels a little better, and the Z-Star doesn't lack distance or spin too much off the tee. I game the Z-star now after gaming the prior XV/B330. Ball feels incredible around the greens. I have around 16 dozen now. Wanted to buy more, but curious about the new lineup thinking they might release more performance 6-packs when they drop.

They are both excellent golf balls.
