Epon AF-505 release date?

New Epon AF-505s look fantastic from the PGA show. I’m playing the AF-705 right now and they are great but definitely super GI in size. Anyone know the release date of the 505

Should know something soon. At first they looked odd to me but now I know I'll be giving these a run. Loving the 705s but they are just a tad too big. These look somewhere between the 303 and the P3...am thinking as long as the 705 but a bit more control, more solid feeling. The look is really growing on me!

I honestly don;t care for wide soled irons and the "PXG Like " weight screws are hideous. I'll pass at $ 325.00 per club

then they're clearly not the club for you. The 500 is a game improvement iron.

YEP.... Putting Screws in Irons looks like somebody is trying to copy a competitor in the " premium price" category and it actually sickens me to see Epon go that route. The superior forging they are known for certainly shouldn't require them to add weight screws as a Gimmick to follow PXG.

Is that how they’re advertising the 505? Reason I’m asking is that I own the 502’s and they are def NOT game improvement irons.

Whether it’s putters or irons, all OEMs copy each other’s designs and if something works for one, why not??

One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor. I love the look and can’t wait to hit them:)

I think they're technically players distance irons. It's not for a low handicapper that's for sure. The 300 series and the tour are for those typ3s. 500 series would be 15 cappers give or take. I have the 503. They're excellent irons but they're not thin by any means.

More and more pros are using irons w some game improvement in their irons. Gone are the days where all pros and low handicappers are using blades. All 3 pros at my club for example are using Rogue irons which have a ton of game improvement in them.

Not a great looking club to me but Epon having a few screws in the back does not make them look like PXG, which also did not invent the use of screws, they just showed how it is not a good look if you use way too many.

Mine will be in my hands Wednesday!

They feel and sound better than my 503's. Not surprising now that they are a true one-piece forging.

The screws certainly help dial in swing weight. I play my irons a .25 long, it was nice to have the weight options to get swing weight back down to normal.

Fantastic!

Not only do they feel and look better, but unexpectedly and quite welcomly, the long irons launch slightly higher which is perfect for my swing.

I see another five year Epon love affair in my future.

Bye bye 503’s - Hello 505’s!!

Cant believe there aren't more reviews. The on off 2015 better?

AF505 is about the size of pxg tour but the sole is wider. softer and quieter than Epon 503, less click.

Squat boxy blade length. super soft. very fast face. Screws or weight ports are tiny, much smaller than pictured.

good spin, playable spin. Miles better than 919 miz hot metal, smaller than 919Forged, or Srixon 585. Size...right there with Srixon 785-pxg tour. Shorter blade length vs. P790 and much truer forged feel. There is no gap wedge. The lack of reviews should not be that surprising Epon is not exactly a household brand.
