Belgium, hometown has lots of German and Belgium influence, but having been to Belgium and loving it. I'm going for those lads.

Plus as a Chelsea supporter I've gotta root for Hazard. Who knows how much longer we will see him in Blue.

Best group stage matches I can remember. I hope it continues this way!

Agreed. Fantastic so far and several of the results will make for some very interesting matches to get out of the group stage.

Thanks for adding to the conversation. Really. Gripping. Ignorance aside, these world cup group stages are bananas. England really needs to quell their talks on winning the world cup and start making sure they can outright win games. Can't ride Harry Kane's coattails all tournament.

Last night's game just summed up how frustrating it is to support England. We have some great players (not many world class ones), and should perform a lot better than we do. We should've been three or four goals up at half time, but wasted gilt edge chances and then conceded a really sloppy goal. We won it in the end, but we've made hard work of winning games an art form over the years.

It's the wastefulness in front of goal that will ultimately cost us. As is normally usual, we'll go through and face a team like Spain or Germany in the quarter finals, create and miss easy chances and then lose on penalties.

It does seem like Americans prefer to watch coach driven games like football and basketball. In football, every 45 seconds the players execute what the coach calls. In basketball it’s just about every 24 seconds.

Movement based sports like soccer and hockey don’t seem to be a great draw. Maybe Americans appreciate the final 2 minutes taking 20.

I kid, but it does seem this way to me.

Hey now. Don’t lump us all together. I enjoy soccer and hockey while finding professional basketball to be a horrible sport to watch.

Even though I don’t care for soccer, I would watch it before I watched basketball. I don’t watch football either. Not much for professional sports outside of fighting (MMA and boxing) and golf.

The ref in the Portugal vs. Iran totally controlled the game. He should be ashamed.
