Do you Spray your bag for Protection?

Just curious here, Getting ready to pull the trigger on a new bag (Ping Pioneer). The color I like is the White/Black, and wondering if I should get a can of scotchgard or something to spray my bag with when I first take it home. Any other types of treatment you do for your bags to make them last a long time looking fresh?

No, I don’t do anything to my bag. It looks like it did when I purchased it. If I had a white bag I might consider it, but I stay away from anything white when it comes to golf.

I might wash the whole bag if it got dirty enough as a good wash does wonders to refreshing any bag but otherwise, just use it.

I have that exact bag and have had it for 6 months. Sprayed mine thoroughly 4 or 5 times, looks excellent. I play 3x's a week (Las Vegas) Plenty of opportunities to get dirty.

I have the black Ping Pioneer bag and sprayed mine with scotchguard or whatever waterproofing my wife had on hand.

If you are doing it right, your bag is going to get wet. Best to just let it happen.

I hit my last bag with some scotch guard and I’ll probably do my current one as well. My last bag honestly held up really well. Can’t hurt and pretty cheap.

Every time I have a new bag I use Scotchguard. I usually give them away when I get tired of seeing them and always looking like new

I probably wouldn’t buy a white golf bag again, despite looking great new. The straps on my push cart have put dirty/dark streaks where they stretch across the bag, and I can’t wash them off. Makes me want to buy a new bag. Alas, can’t waste money.
