Do golf ball graphics make a difference to you?

was just curious if the "looks" of a golf ball are ever a factor in choosing a ball. There are days i prefer a more streamlined look to the ball over a heavy font. Not sure why I do, but sometimes it gives me a strange confidence. Almost like a club at address that needs to "look good", the ball factors in sometimes. Here are three examples and for me, the TM suits my eye the best. It comes into play off the tee and not so much while putting.

Is this a factor for anyone else?

Makes no difference to me. I have been switching a bunch lately between a black/green Callaway Truvis and the Taylormade TP. The only reason I can about the ball color and looks is so I know what ball I'm looking for if I miss a fairway. Otherwise I can pretty much play any ball out there without much concern.

But I play with guys like the OP who have a lot of preference on what the ball looks like.

I don't mind company printed graphics such as a logo or the Tru-Vis, my issues only arise when I purchase recycled balls or play a found ball that has sharpie marks in every possible direction completely blotting out the alignment line. Even then though, it's just a small nuisance.

Fine font on a cast urethane ball is preferred. Not sure why...hate the look of TPU balls. Look like toys to me. Loved the Titleist font on the Pro-V, with sharp dimple edges.

That being said, will play what works best, and all things equal, price breaks the tie, since these are disposable objects and will be lost/destroyed.

Not too much, but if it's a toss up on performance I'd go with the nicer looking one.

I'm playing Vice balls now and think they look terrific, but I would have just as easily put the Cut balls in play if I liked them more (despite disliking the looks).

I think dimple pattern is actually more important than print. There are some dimple patterns that I can't stand to look at.

Not a fan of the graphics on the srixons but it has been by far the best performing ball for me so I better learn to like it. I feel anything that is a white ball I can get used to with time.

Have heard the truvis looks bigger than a regular ball. I don't notice a huge difference but can maybe see it

Extensive graphics throw off the c.o.g. of ball due to excess weight of the ink, affects roll too much for me.

:WTF: wow. that explains why that drunk hooker was stumbling around the side walk last night ...too many tattoos.

I'd like to see a full diameter alignment aid.

Love truvis. Won't pay for it though, and don't love the balls themselves so much more to overpay for a design.

My ball marking is hilarious to me anyway bc it started as a truvis homage and became disorganized crazy squiggles all over.

But re looks and lettering - TM is nice and clean. Don't love Srixon or Titleist in that regard, but love Srixon balls.

Need a truvis stencil.

If I don’t have ‘meat man’ printed somewhere my game goes to water.

I prefer the Truvis design for short game focus and putting. However I have no preference otherwise, brand logo and alignment aids have zero effect.

I do also prefer yellow, not because I play better with them, but they are easier to locate and identify as most of my playing partners are traditional white only.
