honestly no one cares about the minnenapolis lakers until they went to LA which was the point of it all.

 

They had George Mikan! I learned how to do layups from a drill that used his name back in primary school.

 

We also did the Durant drill, which was picking teams for a 3-3 game and putting the 3 best players on one of the teams.

 

What about the jerebear drill? That's the one where in the middle of the game you start shooting at a different basket.

The point was no one would even know about the minnesota lakers if they stayed in minnesota. LA made them into the iconic brand that they are now which was my point.

I despise the Lakers and Lebron and Im with scratch on all things 49ers but Lakers he's on his own, but inaccurate comments are simply that. You were wrong about how many championships the Lakers had from 50-80s, then moved the goalposts to mid 50s-80s and negating a large part of the Lakers history pre LA to suit your argument. Thats just weak sauce analysis.

 

I personally would agree and say like it or not the Yankees are likely the crown jewel of historic franchises……but teams like the Lakers, Celtics, Cowboys, 49ers can be in the discussion, with the Patriots (recently), Spurs (recently) just behind them.

I think all in all, the best franchise claim will come down to personal beliefs (like LBJ or MJ) or really anything. Scratch is a Laker guy, so he clearly could feel they come in first. Others may disagree and thats cool, but honestly as long as its one of those teams that are always in the conversation any claim could be valid depending on how you see it and a view would not be "stupid" because its not inline with the one we think personally.

LoL very possible. I think people think that Ingram will very good, but maybe not an all-star, and Kuzma was an older rookie. I'm not bashing these guys, they are very good players, but the spurs don't want 3rd or 4th guys they'd probably rather rebuild. At least if they turned down the offer that'd be my guess why

 

Jaylen Brown's defense is already very good, and he showed flashes of scoring. My guess is they would rate Brown the highest upside player "available"

 

I mean Ingram might end up really good, but he could also be Andrew Wiggins 2.0. I haven't even given up on Wiggins but the wolves wouldflup him for Brown in a heartbeat

Lakers renounced Randle and signed Rondo. Boogie must be coming and I would expect Zo to be shipped which likely means Kawhi. I would not be surprised if that was the case.

OKC took a flyer on Nerlens Noel. Not bad for the minimum. He needs to fire his agent ASAP considering he turned down 70m last year. He's a great athlete but Carlisle benched him because he never played within their system. Notorious gambler on defense

If the Lakers includee lonzo for Kawhi then I think the package is better. Lonzo a handful (well, not him) but he is an ideal Spurs player and playing with Murray would be great for him.
