Your eyes do not deceive you—the Nike VR Pro Combo heads are pretty darn small! I haven’t seen a more compact set of heads since the Miura baby blades.

Definitely not your standard set of 588CB's there. Looking at those soles looks as if there is almost no bounce. Nice.

I've owned both kinds of sets, and although I don't know the precise differences between the two, here's what I "see":

• no laser etching
  
• plating seems different—it seems to wear more easily, and the tour heads feel softer to me
  
• the grind is more rounded on the front edge, especially in the scoring clubs
  

With the progressive lie angles and new shafts, this set was literally built for a pro who simply moved on to newer clubs.

 

I want to game these (and the Nikes in this ad), but I'm a freak for the Adams CMB and MB2.
